@notafan: They did say that, but they also said it last generation, and I think they said that the generation before. They always say that. Prices always settle back down into the $60.

As I said earlier, I'm a little surprised we still see so many AAA games given how many people wait for sales before they buy and how many of the more popular games are actually cutesy multiplayer type games. We're actually seeing quite the rise in second-tier indie or lower tier publisher games. I was expecting mostly retro stuff but a lot of them have looked very good, although they tend to take longer to develop.

@notafan: Games have been dirt cheap (adjusting for inflation) for over a decade now. If they cost as much today as they did 20 years ago they would easily be $100 (U.S.) each. So $60 is still good.

There is a reason games have been ruined with microtransactions/gambling mechanisms for the last 10 years...to make up the difference. We gamers can't have our cake and eat it anymore.

@VGjunkie87: with cyberpunk supposedly being upgraded for free on both consoles, I dont know if waiting really is a thing people have to do. I mean if they just want to experience the entire game on the newer systems than yea, but it’s not required. Its also a bit funny because I cant remember if any of the games that came out before November 2013 did it after the xbox one and ps4 dropped.

@johnny0779: 3 generations but still won't have as many games as ps5's 4000+ bc games. Most people who are interested is BC will look at this gen games and PS4's library is superior to Xbox ones library by a landslide. But You're also forgetting the much more superior SSD tech speeds that can reach over 20gb per second which also gives out heat.... Yea the system is packing alright. Like this gen Sony will continue to make the best looking games.

@johnny0779: I certainly agree with you. Sony gets cocky when they take a gen and rest on their lead, and they often get sniped. That looks to be the case here once again.

Microsoft looks like it's going to be a lot stronger out the gates this time. They're doing a good job of leveraging their XBone/360 library, the hardware looks better and their services are WAY better. If they can secure some strong exclusives above and beyond the usual Halo fare, Sony is going to have big problems.

Despite PS4's strong sales I've been generally disappointed with the console this gen. There needs to be more services and cross-platform integration in the next gen, and Sony has basically indicated they have little interest in either. They deserve to get rolled this gen IMO.

@johnny0779: have any game performances been directly compared yet? like a multiplatform game? You know, like benching, but in PC, well kinda.

BTW PS2 was the most underpowered console when MS entered the whole business, and well, denying it's overwhelming success is denying their cockiness that stalled them the previous gen.
