Starz has released a teaser trailer for the upcoming original series Heels. The show follows two brothers in a local professional wrestling promotion, and it stars Stephen Amell (Arrow) and Alexander Ludwig (Vikings).

Premiering on Sunday, August 15 at 9 PM, Heels follows two brothers in a family-owned wrestling promotion, as they battle over their late-father's legacy. Check out the first video for the show below.

"In the ring, somebody must play the good guy and somebody must play their nemesis, the heel," read s a press release. "But in the real world, those characters can be hard to live up to--or hard to leave behind."

Michael Waldron (Loki, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness) created, wrote, and executive produced the upcoming show, and he'll joined by EP Mike O'Malley (Shameless, Nickelodeon's Guts) as showrunner.

In addition to Amell and Lugwig, Heels will star Alison Luff (New Amsterdam), Mary McCormack (The Kids Are Alright), Kelli Berglund (The Goldbergs), and Allen Maldonado (The Last O.G.). Former Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker James Harrison and True Blood's Chris Bauer will also appear on the series as well.

Wrestling fans in general will be very excited to know that former wrestler CM Punk will have a role on this series as the wrestler named Ricky Rabies. The Heels Twitter recently released a picture of him in costume--tattooless--which is probably a bit jarring for most wrestling fans to see.

Aside from CM Punk, there is some other wrestling talent on the show. Amell has appeared in both WWE and at All In--a multi-promotion PPV that paved the way for AEW. However, he's stated in the past he won't return to wrestling. "I've got a very, very lovely, accommodating, and thoughtful wife and I risk divorce if I get back in the wrestling ring," Amell told GameSpot at Comic-Con in 2019.

The first season of Heels will consist of eight episodes and premiere on Starz on Sunday, August 15. And for more on wrestling, make sure to check out Wrestle Buddies, GameSpot's professional wrestling podcast.
