Pacific Drive Door Code - How To Unlock The Keypad Door In The Auto Shop

Find out what's behind the door in your main hub in Pacific Drive.

Comments

The Auto Shop is your main hub in Pacific Drive. While there's lots of stuff that you can do while you're relaxing in this area, one thing might perplex you early on. Here's our guide on how to unlock the keypad door in Pacific Drive.

How to unlock the Auto Shop keypad door in Pacific Drive

Believe it or not, you unlock the Auto Shop keypad door in Pacific Drive once you've successfully completed the "Mid-Zone Crossing" mission. The code--4735--is actually mentioned by Tobias via radio. However, even if you're aware of it as you're reading this article now, you still won't be able to interact with the keypad unless you've finished the mission.

From the Auto Shop hub to the Mid-Zone

In any case, we have all the details in our "Mid-Zone Crossing" mission guide. But here's a quick summary:

  • It took us several runs because we had to revisit junctions G1 and G3 just to open a path to G2 (this is the wall that divides the Outer Zone and Mid-Zone).
  • The journey itself was a harrowing experience, since we had to pass through several pitch-black areas. Make sure you've got headlights/flares, as well as a lot of fuel.
  • The main task upon reaching the Mid-Zone is to activate a Stabilizer Tower. However, this also triggers the instability collapse.
  • Basically, you need to make sure that you've collected enough energy from Anchors, and that you have a clear idea on which Gateway exit you should take before you activate the panel.
  • If you dawdle around or make mistakes, your character might perish, and you'd have to go through the whole thing again.
Be ready to drive like hell once you activate the Stabilizer Tower.

How to unlock the secret room

As mentioned earlier, Tobias will tell you the code (4735) once you're done with the mission. This is how you unlock the keypad door in Pacific Drive--just interact with it, and it will automatically open.

Surprisingly enough, you'll notice that it's just a bathroom, but Tobias and Francis do tell you to continue investigating. In our case, we saw that there were some objects that we could interact with, so we just followed the usual process whenever we did our business in the bathroom:

  • Flush the toilet.
  • Wash your hands.
  • Use the dryer.
Just follow what you normally do when you clean up in the bathroom.

What to do with the ARC Doc and Hard Drive

Doing the above will cause a wall panel open, which reveals a secret room. Inside, you'll find two objects:

  • Hard Drive - Place this in the "OUT" container of Oppy's Pneumatube (a machine that's right next to the Fabrication Station).
  • Arc Doc - Carry this and open the passenger seat of your car. Then, hold the left mouse button to upgrade your Arc Device. You should now be able to activate a healing effect if you take severe damage, though this costs Anchor energy.
The Arc Doc grants an upgrade for your Arc Device (left), whereas the Hard Drive should be sent to Tobias via the Pneumatube (right).

And that's it: that's how you unlock the Auto Shop keypad door in Pacific Drive. Your journey is far from over since you still need to explore the Mid-Zone and tackle additional objectives for your pals.

Pacific Drive takes you on a harrowing journey through the northwestern United States, where eerie forests, fetid marshes, and deadly anomalies await. If you want to survive for as long as possible, we encourage you to check out our guides hub.
