A new Mass Effect: Andromeda video has come online that shows off the spacefaring RPG's Nomad, which is basically a replacement for the Mako from the previous games.

As you'll see in the video below from IGN, you can call down the Nomad from wherever you have a forward operating base. Then you can jump in the vehicle and go wherever you want; in this video, the driver heads off in search of resources to mine. The video also touches on upgrades to the Nomad, including six-wheel drive, which lets you scale steep areas. Other upgrades include a handbrake for better control, extra shields for greater protection, and improved boost to move faster.

Andromeda launches on March 21 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. A free trial for the game will be available through the EA/Origin Access programs on Xbox One and PC starting on March 16. This 10-hour trial lets players test multiplayer and single-player, though the campaign component is locked to a set number of missions.

In other news, BioWare has announced that Andromeda's multiplayer DLC maps will be free, just like they were in Mass Effect 3. Additionally, the game's trophies/achievements have leaked and can be seen here.
