New Doom Eternal Battlemode Update Tweaks Demons And Slayer, Full Patch Notes Revealed
Demons and Slayers in Doom Eternal will do a little less damage thanks to a new Battlemode update.
Developer id Software has dropped a new Doom Eternal update for Battlemode on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. You can check out the full patch notes below.
New BATTLEMODE balance changes are live and include updates on all platforms for Ballista base damage, & Lock-on Rockets damage and some demon-specific changes on consoles.

The new Battlemode update makes some key changes to both the Slayer and demons. On all platforms, the Slayer's rocket launcher lock-on mod has had its damage reduced against demon players to give the opposition an actual fighting chance. The Slayer's Ballista crossbow has also had its damage reduced against demon players, but this adjustment is only available on PC.
Id Software also made some tweaks to the demons that are console specific. The Revenant's upgraded rocket barrage attack has had its effectiveness altered, the number of rockets available from the upgrade has been reduced to 24 projectiles, and its cooldown has been increased to 11 seconds. The Pain Element had one adjustment: decreasing the cooldown from its dash to eight seconds.
In other Doom Eternal news, the game's composer, Mick Gordon, has distanced himself from the Doom Eternal soundtrack. Gordon said someone else mixed the soundtrack, which explains why the mix sounds off. Despite a slight delay at launch, the soundtrack is finally available for Collector's Edition owners.

Slayer
- Rocket Launcher Lock-On Mod: Damage reduced against demon players from 300 to ~200 damage per rocket.

Slayer
- Ballista: Reduced damage against demon players from 600 to ~550 damage.
Balance Changes for Console Only
Revenant
- Unstable Trigger - Round Upgrade:
- Reduced the effectiveness of the upgraded rocket barrage attack.
- Reduced the number of rockets with the upgrade from 28 to 24 projectiles.
- Increased the cooldown with the upgrade from 10 to 11 seconds.
Pain Elemental
- Dash: Increased the cooldown on the Pain Elemental's dash from 6 to 8 seconds.
