Nintendo is hosting a new livestream event today, July 10. While it's not a new Nintendo Direct, the company will show off a couple of titles as part of its Nintendo Treehouse Live broadcast, which is scheduled to begin at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET.

Specifically, Nintendo says it will broadcast gameplay of the upcoming Paper Mario: The Origami King, which is set to release for Switch next week. On top of that, the company will reveal at least one new title from developer WayForward, the studio behind the Shantae series and other beloved 2D adventure games.

What's most curious about the game reveal is the wording Nintendo used to describe it. The company says the game will be "in a franchise new to developer WayForward," which seems to suggest that whatever the studio is developing is part of an already-established IP that it hasn't worked with before. What that could be remains to be seen; however, in a follow-up tweet, Nintendo did confirm that WayForward is working on "a third-party property," so we at least know it's not something like a new Metroid or Legend of Zelda game.

How To Watch Nintendo Treehouse Live

The Nintendo Treehouse Live broadcast will be streamed on the company's website, YouTube, and Twitch channels. You can also tune in right here tomorrow and watch the stream via the video embed below.

Paper Mario: The Origami King releases for Switch on July 17 (the same day that Ghost of Tsushima hits PS4). In the meantime, you can watch the game's opening cutscene and some of the funniest moments early on in the adventure. this leads me to believe further that Paper Mario was their big reveal for E3 but announced it earlier and this treehouse would follow their E3 direct to show more gameplay, that ease of the Samus' helmet at the end up the trailer would leave people speculating what the next direct would hold.

and im guessing that new Trollhunters game would be in their as well with an introduction by guillermero del toro
