Everspace 2, the open-world galactic dogfighting game from Rockfish Games has had more information revealed about it at the PC Gaming Show. Thanks to a successful Kickstarter campaign, it's slated to come to PC in 2021.

The upcoming sequel to the original Everspace is set to be yet another romp through space, though it has a number of notable departures from its predecessor. Everspace 2 will allow pilots to enjoy combat in the atmosphere of planets for the first time, adding a wealth of new environments to your intergalactic experience.

If you're someone who loves to explore the furthest reaches of space, then you'll be able to do just that. Everspace 2 will include a number of new star systems that you can jet around in, whether it's in hot pursuit of another rogue pilot or just because you're wanting to have a scenic space trip.

Much like the original Everspace, you will also be able to customize your ship in any number of ways, ranging from appearance to mods that increase your firepower. There will be different classes of ships for pilots to choose from, all with their own strengths and weaknesses, allowing each spacefaring vessel to be unique.

Everspace 2 will be moving into a closed alpha on June 15, and it will be available on launch for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. It is expected to launch in full in 2021.
