E3 2017: Xbox One X Scorpio Release Date Revealed

Happy with the price. It's initially lower than what I thought it would be.

Microsoft beating the hell out of Sony again. Xbox One X will be epic. Sony fanboi's crying already with their garbage systems.

Pre ordering two consoles when they are able to be pre ordered. Excited for this gaming console.

I am not getting in an uproar because there are few exclusives at launch. I am quite sure there will be games released throughout it life. I am glad it is $500 and not $699 and up. However, I am still going to wait because this is the first generation and I know there will be bugs.

They should focus on 1440p as the new resolution for gaming and 4k for video.

Excited to see what else they show off. Like I said before, Xbox for multiplats and Playstation for the exclusives.

Am I the only one that find XBOX to be a smart name? I mean it's XBOX. That's smart right? although it looks more like a playstation rather than the original XBOX.

This is the detail we've waited 18 months for. Price is in line with what I expected it to be. It's the maximum they can charge and not flop. But I don't think it will outsell PS4 at this price.

Xbone X .......son of a bitch, I imagine everybody at MS had their brain cells burst like popcorn figuring out the friggin name .... geez, what a damn lack of imagination.

finally got the price out there... i can't believe people thought the x would launch for $399. how would that be viable for such a powerful machine? in canada it will retail for $650 which will basically make it dead on arrival for most people. sure, the enthusiasts will snatch one, but it is not going to compete against the pro at such a price point. microsoft did themselves no favours with their weak software lineup. it was embarrassing. sea of thieves looks worse each time i see it... another forza game? it looks amazing, no doubt... but again, same old same old. i was more excited about cup head (also going to pc) than anything else microsoft showed... crackdown 3 looks like a rejected game that was developed in a vacuum for 10 years. good luck to you microsoft... you put together a powerful and nice looking console, but the software lineup is weak and won't hold up. also, the price point is going to scare people away.

But...games? Isn't that the end-all, be-all of a console's value? The visuals may potentially be very good, but what difference does that make if there's nothing to play on it except the standard Microsoft franchises that can all now be played on PC? This could be a great system but I feel like Microsoft is missing the point. They sunk all kinds of money and marketing into a console that still has very, very little software to make it worthwhile.

Contrast this with, say, the PS2, which had the weakest hardware of all consoles in its generation. It still blew away the Xbox and GameCube because it had such an insane catalog of titles to back it up. I'm no expert and could easily be proven wrong here, but I don't see this doing much for the Xbox brand in the long run outside of some fruitless bragging rights.

Wake me up when MS stop giving hardware we don't need and start producing lots of exclusive titles..

Now all MS needs to do is release an "affordable" midrange console that sits somewhere between the "S" and the "X" and name it the "E" and they got a theme going......

Two months ago Digitalfoundry made Scorpio sound powerful and innovative... Microsoft is into own show made it sound like a DULL box that won't rock the boat. To sell a $500 system they needed sizzle and they gave their fans could a frozen hamburger that was described as safely as possible. What idiots!

well i am vindicated, go read scorpio threads from like 90 days ago i said 500 max and i was right some people were saying i was full of beans they could see 600 easy...to all of them i told ya!

As much as I want to buy this in November but the lack of first party titles is saddening. I was really looking forward to add a Xbox console to my gaming setup. I hope they announce a few before console's release. Also, enhancements to sunset overdrive and halo 5.
