Dragon Age golden, hitting PS3 Nov. 3

@Vasot play Demons Souls first then talk bs about it...its probably one of the best games this gen along with mass effect,uncharted 2,halo 3 and mgs4

Dragon Age is NOT turn based. It has a Pause system for the player to plan his strategy

Why is this big news?

@ Jadaco - so Bioware SAID they added 70+ Quests and therefore you believe it as it must be true? Well, I don;t beleive it for a second. They said they had finished the PC version before they talked about the 70+ quests! Show me where they gave just half a dozen examples of these 'extra quests' - and also, isn't a lot of those quests based on the fact you get a 'new' character when you buy the game with his/her own quests? Personally, I am even dubious about this new character. I just think they had six months to strip a character out of the original and then pretend it's a new character for marketing purposes! Lastly, how difficult would it have been to release the PC version last April and then to re-promote it offer those 70 'new' quests and 'new' character as a free download for PC gamers? The reason we generally get crap games with the odd diamond instead of the other way around, along with an amateur gaming media and very poor publisher customer service is the total lack of spectaclisim/too much trust amongst gamers that are too ready to believe everything their told - especially when they have been ripped off so often in the past!

@KittyHeart...Demon Souls is hack and slash. Dragon Age is just more than that

I've played every Bioware game since Baldur's Gate and I've never been disappointed, and for some reason it seems their games get better and better with every release. I already give this game a perfect rating of 10!!

at least, they give us already a date. until then, i keep up with demon's soul's... ...anyway, i can not wait for it!!!

This game is going to be EPIC! I can already tell from playing Dragon Age Journeys. That is the best flash browser game I have ever played! Can't wait for Nov. 3!

Woah, Yes, Yeah, YEAH! I flipped out a had a major breakdown when I found out that PS3 owners would have to wait an extra couple weeks for this game, but now... now... NOW... I'm having a major break in! Hopefully nobody steals my PS3. The reverse of the flow of anger disangers me greatly.

Thanks for the responses guys. I dunno, maybe I will give it a try - I've never played one of those point-and-click games before, perhaps I should give it a chance. Everything else about it looks pretty awesome.

From the gameplay videos I saw the combat control looked like KOTOR, I may be wrong, but if it is similar and as good as KOTOR...were talking about the best combat in an rpg ever made

I agree that I worry about the combat. I like the look, the trailers, the story, and the choices and genre, but I play a game for the GAME aspect. If that aspect is small, I might pass it up.

@Jackc8: Yea it is a point and click game. Hopefully you wont let it deter you because I'm certain this will be a game of epic mature story-telling perhaps never before seen in a game to date. The magnitude of the game is enormous and certainly justifies the price tag.

Can I just get my copy the day gamestop gets it? I know for a fact they had ODST discs just hanging out in the back for like a week before the game was released -.- Why set a sale date so much further than the shipping date?

It looks very interesting..I've been reading about this game even before it even dropped to PS3 (not knowing what system it was on by the way..) but hearing about it and now on top of that, knowing it is from Bioware makes it "very" "very" interesting. I'm looking forward to this game. To me its a game to fiddle with since we didnt get the Mass Effect experience to the PS3.

Who cares, this is a PC gamer game. The ones that will be playing this on a Console are people that don't have pc's good enough to play it. Jackc8: I think you should skip it... it is a lot like Mass Effect. Pause and click you're way around the party to survive. This game is supposedly damn hard.

Game looks great, but I'm still waiting to see what the combat consists of. If it's like a regular third person hack 'n' slash, that'd be awesome. If it's some point and click stuff, I think I'll skip it.

Wow, this game has been in development for over 5 years. This totally changed my mind about this game. I was about to wait for reviews but I think I'm gonna go and get it on day 1

Now I'm in Limbo - I could import the NA version but if the EU version will follow soon after (and by that I mean days) then it's a waste of money. Decisions...

I would love to play this game on the PC but my PC isn't geared toward gaming & it'll probably cost me more than a new PS3 or 360 elite to bring it up to speed. I think I'll wait a few days to see if either of the console versions are safe (no game crippling glitches) & get the better version of the two. I might lean towards getting it on the 360 cause I'm definitely going to get Mass Effect 2 & I read somewhere you can get a certain armor if you have DA:0.

Well I have to give into my inner nerd and say, I love choices and how you can change things by just talking and I loved oblivion because of that and its great look, but I DONT like how the combat is set up well by the looks its just another point and click and i love mmo's but there combat, forgive me, SUCKS the only combat i seem to like is age of Conan's combat and i dont want to start a flame war but i loved how you could make your choice on where to hit and really gets me the feeling of control still i will buy this one only because i want to make the choices and teach some of the rich bastards in that game a lesion. >:)

Damn, looks like I'm not getting it then... at least not for a while, i thought I MAYBE would have had the money by the 18th like when i thought it was coming out.. but now Nope lol. That sucks, if i had the money this would be great news. Oh well, i guess this will give me enough time to find out whether it sucks or is as good as I/people hope it will be.

HELL. YES. Was considering not even buying it because I didn't want to wait so long.

just thought id mention one more reason why the PC version will be better - and thats the fact that with the PC version you get the toolset free, which means you can create your own quests, characters, locations, items and cut-scenes...so that mixed with the better graphics and much better gameplay mean that the PC version is the far better game. also with all the extra stuff you get with the PC and the fact that its a better game and its cheaper, it seems obvious to me that its a brilliant bargain.

"Going-gold" is NOT a marketing term (though it can be used to facilitate additional marketing hype). The term "gone-gold" means that the gold master disc has been pressed at the factory, and hence the game can now be reproduced millions of times for store shelves. Essentially, the final version of the game has been cmopiled and ready for distribution. Gone gold. Beat to the punch by a couple of you. :)

Do we really have to put nudity in something in order to sell it? Think of the kid who can't enjoy your game not because of the blood and violence but the nudity. Don't ruin it for those people!

Can you kill Conan in this game or does Crom do it? I'd really like to play this game ,but paying $15 a month for a game is bad news man. Plus my computer is like 20 years old...I think everyone should be able to play new games. Everyone.The government should buy everyone a new Pc :)

Actually to my understanding, "going gold" means that the development on a particular software has reached the stage where the game is now a RTM (released to manufacturing) version; In other words, the first commercial versions of the game are now being made. Edit: It looks like Tstilwell answered already.

i downloaded alot of videos for this game. dont think ive seen any real gameplay yet.or am i wrong and it was gameplay?. if so this game is gonna be sick

@TStilwell Thanks for the correction. I haven't heard the term often, and have always thought of it like that. I googled real quick, and got multiple sources saying the same thing as you. Anyways I deleted my previous post to avoid confusion.

That isn't what "going gold" means. Going gold means that a product is done and ready to be manufactured and shipped.
