There is a new submachine gun and map coming to Apex Legends in Season 11 as well.

Now Playing: Apex Legends Escape New Map Trailer

Season 10's battle pass is currently set to end on November 1, so there will be a less than one-day gap between seasons. Seasons in Apex Legends typically last about three months, so Season 11 should last into February 2022. Season 11 will include a new ranked split, and battle pass, just like previous seasons. A specific release time for Season 11 has not yet been shared, but we'll report back with official details once they're announced. New seasons typically release at 10 AM PT, but Respawn hasn't confirmed if that will be when Season 11 launches.

New Character: Ash

Season 11 will bring a new character to Apex Legends, Ash. Best known for being an antagonist in Titanfall 2, Ash isn't exactly new to Apex Legends since Respawn has been teasing her as a possible character since Season 5. Ash also currently serves as the announcer in Arenas, although that could change when she joins the Apex Games. Ash is the simulacrum of Horizon's former assistant, Dr. Reid, who betrayed Horizon and trapped her in a black hole for 87 years, as seen in Stories From The Outlands - Promise.

Ash is an offensive legend, whose abilities are centered around leading her team headfirst into combat. Her passive ability, Marked for Death, shows recent death boxes on the map and marks the surviving attackers. Her tactical ability, Arc Snare, lets Ash throw a spinning snare which will tether and damage the first enemy to come near it. Lastly, her ultimate ability is Phase Breach, which lets her open a one-way portal to a targeted location, usable by all legends--friendly or otherwise. New Weapon: C.A.R. SMG

Escape will bring a new weapon to Apex Legends, and just like Ash, it's from Titanfall. The C.A.R. SMG is expected to sit somewhere between the R-301 and the R-99, offering more damage than the R-301, with less range and a fire rate that's closer to the R-99. The Escape gameplay trailer also shows off a special gimmick for the C.A.R. SMG, where players can switch its ammo type between heavy ammo and light ammo.

New Map: Storm Point

Apex Legends Season 11: Escape will also add the fourth map to the game, Storm Point. Storm Point is set on a tropical island, full of dangerous animals and insects that offer points of PvE combat across the map. Players can fight across beaches or in the tropical jungles of Storm Point. It also features a massive crashed ship on the shoreline as one of the points of interest. Storm Point will also be the biggest Apex Legends map to date, coming in at 15% bigger than World's Edge.

Apex Legends' Halloween event, Monsters Within, is live now through November 2. The event sees the return of Shadow Royale.
