People, its a psp game...
User Rating: 8 | Army of Two: The 40th Day PSP
First, this is my first psp review of a game and im only doing it because i see all the negative comments regarding this game. I bought a psp last year and own exactly 6 games, which only 3 really enjoyed and two played throughout. Also have bought more than 20 and have returned them all since they suck so much. I do love my psp but in my opinion all games are way overpriced. God of War, Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown and Little Big Planet are the only and I mean THE only (for now) worthy of their money games and now Army of Two 40th day. People complain about the graphics, well god of war for psp the graphics werent much better, big chunks of blocks for faces but still is one of the best psp games... its a PSP, a little bigger than a pack of ciggaretes, dont expect that much of it. I thought the graphics were just perfect for the handheld, you want more, buy it for ps3 or xbox360. Now the gameplay was the fun part, really enjoyed it may not be so unique but for sure was fun ... they should keep the shooters on psp just as this one instead of trying to apply fps on the psp with unplayable controls. Its old school shooting and as always brings alot of fun AND not frustrations with controls. Camera was quite alright did not encounter a place where i couldnt see my enemies or had any issues. The story was exactly as the consoles and basically you have the same options to kill or let go some of the characters you meet in the game. I was basically skipping thru all the conversations since i already beat the game on my xbox360 but noticed its almost exactly the same.
Overall i gave it an 8/10. Had so much fun playing and will play it again for sure. Do not care about graphics as long as had a fun gameplay. I would have given it more if it wasnt for the buggy AI of my partner, had to restart few missions because he would get stuck somewhere and i would die and hes not there to revive me. And also wish the game was longer, was a bit too short and they should have put more enemies on some missions.
The game is pretty nice for the psp, dont know why people are complaining when 80% of the games are pure crap. Games like that make me not regret that i bought a psp.
