What you expect from this kind of games. It fails in control and mechanics but compensates in environment and feeling.

This game has basically everything such a game should have. Jumping, shrinking, jumping again, collecting stuff, jumping some more, kicking, jumping, shooting and in case I did not mention: JUMPING!
Yes. So much jumping it actually drives you crazy. Not because you don't like to jump or anything. But jumping lacks any complexity. Take for example Assassins Creed there you can hang on to edges and when you are in danger of jumping too close to the other edge the character pulls back a bit. Here jumping is nothing more than flying in the air struggling to land on some domino piece, cliff or mushroom. And that is really annoying because with a lot of jumping you get a lot of falling. So having to do one sequence several times is annoying especially when you cant save.
Except these flaws there is nothing much else I can say bad about the game. I was a big fan of the first Harry Potter games and this pretty much reminds me of those times. Simple and fun. I wish i would have a bit more freedom to explore places, collect items and not run through some corridors all the time but I guess this is what Alice is about. Unfortunately for me I did not play the first game. So I cant say if this is better or worse than the first.

All in all I love how this game looks, I like Alice, I like the characters, I like the world, I liked all the twisted monsters and I like many other things. The game is definitely a pleasure. And the flaws it has won't keep me away from it. I want to see everything it has to offer...
