Worms Open Warfare marches onto the X360 with a good port, however it pales a little in comparison to the PSP version.

User Rating: 7.9 | Worms X360
The Worms are back yet again in what seems like an endless stream of sequels and 3D spin-offs. However the return to 2D has meant a return to the clasic formula, that can only be a good thing.

The game is very well presented with slick and bright menus, funny and very good looking opening cut scenes as well as the traditional graphical style from which Worms games can be immediately recognised. Each one of these cute-but-deadly worms has access to over 20 weapons of destruction and with the tricky and surprisingly large landscapes, they are going to need all the help they can get. Of course the HD Wide Screen format is perfectly suited to the miniscule battles fought by these miniture psychos across wide landscapes.

The control scheme is as simple as on the PSP and can be picked up and played by just about anybody, using the X360 button layout very effectively meaning soon you will be wizzing through levels like a pro.

The happy, violent style of worms is sure to attract many more fans to the series in the future but this game can feel a little cautious at times with some major weapons missing in action. Xbox Live Arcade memory limits also mean that despite sharpened graphics and the addition of a Live multiplayer mode, many of the voices, all of the hilarious movie clips and even some of the landscape themes are also missing in action in this supposedly updated X360 version.

This is still a great addition to the Arcade, but lacks the amount of features seen on the PSP version. However great classic Worms fun for all coupled with a nice Live multiplayer feature.
