Saints Row IV - Ask GameSpot

Who in the hell picked THOSE questions??? Most of that stuff is answered in pretty much any preview video that has been shown for this game.

What *I* want to know is are they using activities as full missions again this time? Does the character customization system give you as many options as SR2's did in terms of layering clothing and whatnot? Can I be a ho in a dirty gas station bathroom again if I choose to? Did they bring back the old activities like all the racing and the fighting stuff and whatnot? Basically did they fix some of the shortcomings that SR3 had. Obviously they kept the over-the-top stuff and went even farther with it (for better or worse...), but SR3 still had some holes in it whether you liked the uber-over-the-top stuff or not. I want to know if those holes have been fixed before I plunk down my hard-earned money for this game.

I dont mid the crazy stuff but I miss the interesting missions that allowed you to gain territory, missed the push backs when rival gangs counter attacked and you had to kill their leaders in a crazy mad reckless shooting frenzy. Missed the layered clothing, missed the stylish parts of the story,missed the cool crazy but somewhat believable gangs. Finally I miss the feeling of being the James Bond of gangsters.

Ah, the infamous question I was waiting for. As most people pointed out below no. This is not a gangster game anymore. This is just a game of random parody jokes, and stupid humor that really isn't funny. Dubstep gun? really? *facepalm*. They train wrecked this series after the second SR. Until this series returns to it's roots, I have no interest in buying these.

Here how i see there gang vs random thing. ve 10 points

SR1 = gangster feel 8 / 2 humor and randomness

SR2 = gangster feel 6 / 4 humor and randomness

SR3 = gangster feel 3 / 7 humor and randomness

Going by the number it will be like this

Sr4 ? gangster feel 2-0 / 8-10 humor and randomness

If they killed your 2 2nd in command there be no tie to this any of the row.

until saints row gets back to how it used to be like saints 1 and 2, i will not be buying any saints row games. this is a real big kick in the ball bag for fans who have been there since day 1. gangster story line and keep the crazy stuff as side missions.

Is Saints Flow a real drink ? If so where do they sell it ? Shaun and Carolyn could probably work at an Ad firm if they get bored of journalism 'cause that intro got me craving for some SAINTS FLOW !

I couldn't care less if this game has anything fromf Saints Row 1 or 2 in it, if I wanted to play San Andreas again, I would just do that.

I don't know about this game. I get the feeling they wanted to cram in a generic sci-fi story as much elements as possible.

it's like this game is made for little kids, but it's a mature game.

saints row is caught in a catch 22. it started out as a GTA clone wannabe. it tried adding humor and randomness to differentiate itself and now people are upset that it strayed too far away from its roots.

Someone should e-mail this opie and anthony...Something tells me they would love to rip you-know-who a new one...I'm sure Jimmy could have some fun.

The one torch Saints Row had over GTA, even being a shameless rip off until it found it's strength, was co-op multiplayer. If GTA let you customize your main character's gender, look, and sound, and let you work through the entire story with your friend, I wouldn't have gone near Saints Row. But frankly, Saints Row 2 VS GTA 4, it was no contest for me. GTA 4 was boring imo. I don't give a shit about tacked-on PVP multiplayer they add to every game but co-op multiplayer through an entire story (attention Bethesda) will trump most things for me. Customization makes it twice as nice.
