Random Encounter - F.E.A.R.

I replayed this game SO many times, one of my most played single player FPS games ever.

0:30 music and I already dropped the brown stuff!

Its still one of my all time favs :D I replaye dit recently and its still genuinely scary :D

That was an awesome game. Mixed the action and tenion so well.

This was one of my fav games, and with it's expansion pack which brought in multiplayer made it one of the best games for me. I played it a few years ago mainly for it's multiplayer modes, but I would love to get it again. Shame they ruined the series with F.E.A.R 3, with having no online vs mode, but a stupid survival mode instead. >.<

That scene where Paxton Fettel hits you a piece of wood really annoyed me when I was younger. I used to shoot him before he hit me. Would have been so much easier if I could have just killed him then and there and been done with it...

Yeah, haunted little girls are scary and it really has nothing to do with a game or whether or not you can shoot them...Anyway, all I see here in this game is another botched opportunity to make a good game...

I played this game back then too. I thought it was ok but pretty mediocre. Definitely not scary to me (little girls don't scare me although big ones do).

Interesting that if this was announced now I'd be far more excited than I was back then. I guess the games really are getting worse.

I have this game but still haven't played it.... it's definitely on the top of my FPS list with Rage and Stalker. I loved NOLF.

What the hell? No Random encounter in 5 days, then several in one day. This is taking the p1ss. You either need to space these more evenly Danny or stop making them so interesting and hilarious. Not all of us were fortunate enough to be bequeathed with patience and self-restraint!!

Also, I think F.E.A.R. was the last game released that was genuinely "can't play if the lights are off" scary. "Horror" games are attempting to hit the 'entertainment value' sweet spot that makes them attractive to casual gamers ,to the detriment of atmospheric immersion. At least in my unmerited opinion.

Such a good game. I was absolutely disgusted what they did with the sequels.

ah I remember this. Good stuff. I had a crappy Packard Bell PC back n the day. Game didnt run well, which pissed me off cause it looked damn good back then!

Man, after all these years the first F.E.A.R. still has the best AI. Damn shame developers these days are more concerned with graphics, cinematics and such.

One of the greatest shooters ever made. Excellent gameplay, great AI, perfect atmosphere... I could go on and on about how good this game is!
