Great tennis experience but takes a lot of skill to beat the game.

Gameplay: Top spin 2 seemed good to me since the first top spin was amazing so I tought that Top spin 2 would be great also. I've played the demo of top spin 2 a lot until I bought the game and starting playing it. You start as a rookie player rank 200th in the world rankings. You can customise your player change clothing and most importanly the skills. You earn stars by doing training you have to choose well your placement on the stars the basic of professional tennis is backhand, forehand and power so upgrading those three categories would do great to help you get a head start. So has you moev on you enter small tournaments you do well since the tennis at the level is pretty simple you can hit winners after winners with no to a bit of effort later in the game you will notice that the bigger tournaments will open but the masters and the grand slam demand extreme precaution because the pro's that participate in those tournaments are ranked in the mid 15 to number 1 so if you're lucky you may win by beating easy players but besides that if you encounter roddick or federer or even great players you're done. This game demands extreme skills because when you're ranked about 20 in the game the game is extremely hard its almost like the opponent knows exactly where you're going to hit the ball next at and where you are going to move the AI will use anything if you're at the next the opponent will give you a fast lob or a extremely deep topspin drive right on your sides it feels like you're ranked 200 playing against number 1 in the world its pretty annoying to have that difficulty in the game like that. As you progress in your career you can go to bronze stars to silver stars and finally gold stars if you get gold stars that is when you'll start to own almost everyone in the rankings and I did get to number 1 ranking in the end of season 3 but there is still season 4 and 5 to do I don't know whats the point of playing those 2 seasons just to get an achievement of completing career. The point of the game is to get in number 1 ranking I might complete season 4 and 5 even know im number 1 legend tennis player.
One thing i've noticed is that when I was playing grand slams a trick if you lose go to dashboard then go back to game to replay the match you lost so that you can win it instead go to dashboard before it autosaves. The only way I could beat the pro's even know I only had silver stars I used slice to beat them when the opponent serve I sliced it then I went to the net and slice it in the opposite side of them I did that to every point and I actually won a buch of tournaments by doing that but since the game is hard I can't really enjoy and play at the baseline because I know the opponent will hit hard from every angle. I think that Top spin 2 has its own good aspects and bad but the only bad is difficulty and repetition like all sports repetition is a big factor in sports games.

Graphics: Top spin 2 does have great visuals from all the nice tennis courts and details it almost feels like you are really playing on a tennis court. For its year top spin 2 has great graphics and I have nothing to complain on this.

Sound: There is not a lot of music in the game there is one song in the career and one song in the main menu of Top spin 2. I've noticed that the crowd in major tournaments are louder than grand slams tournaments that doesn't make sense the crowd does not make a good ambience at all it feels like rather you have a rally of 100 shots or 10 shots the crowd are the same on everything. That takes away the realism from top spin 2.

Overall: 80 % Overall Top spin 2 is not a bad choice for big fans of the top spin series but It takes no doubt skill to beat this game and to get ranked number 1 in the world rankings
