I've played every THPS and this one is as good as the three first put together.

User Rating: 9.5 | Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 PS2
When Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 was released something like 9 years ago, every single kid with a Play Station or a N64 in my neighborhood was playing it and soon enough parks, churches and schools were filled with young teens trying to imitate every move they saw. THPS 2 went further by adding manuals. THPS 3 was another step forward with bigger levels and character customization.
When I first played the fourth, I was simply amazed at how big levels actually were. The other thing I love about this game is that even in career mode you can skate freely and infinitely through levels for fun without having that "2 minutes" time limit. Every goal is singled out and you have to go see some NPCs who'll give them to you. You have waaay more challenges in each levels plus pro challenges later in the game. Each skater has his own personalized pro challenge. You can have up to... I think 12 special tricks. You get the point : you have a LOT to do in order to finish this game.
I don't really like the fact that you can only go through your single career once because I liked to do it over and over with the other skaters for fun. You still have each skater's challenge to complete though.
Difficulty-wise, it's just right, it may be a bit easy for experienced THPS players until you reach the later challenges which are kinda hard but nothing TOO hard.
I'd say around 9.3 but you can't here, so 9.5.
