There are not a lot of super hero games that come by that aren't any better than a rental. Most of the super hero games are extremely repetitive. But The Incredible Hulk Ultimate Destruction takes a new leap in super hero games. After a good attempt with Spiderman 2, Marvel has delivered a game with a vast free roaming and a high replay value. The storyline is very good and keeps you interested, although the amazing cinematic can only be seen once or twice in every chapter. At the end of ever chapter there is a story recap where they retell chapters of the story to you but you have to read it. Some, if not most people would not mind reading it but, I believe that one of the reasons we pick up the controller to play a video game is to relax and get away from real work not reading. Aside from the my pathetic opinion of a downfall, the art is real nice and I especially like how they did the comic book villains. Yup that's right, Marvel has thrown in some great comic book villains and you can even view artwork of these villains as either CG or comic book style. Throughout the game you can unlock several different attire for the hulk. Most of these include flag designs on his shorts, but there are other secret characters that I'm not going to reveal to you. What impresses me the most is probably the quantity of skills you have at your disposal. Each skill you must purchase using smash points you get from...well smashing anything, you also get smash points at the end of each mission and challenge you complete. All the challenges are possible unlike those of Spiderman 2, some are even fun to screw around in like hulk soccer, golf, and even a field goal challenge. The boss fights are phenomenal, each one delivers a punch. I would love to explain the boss fights but that would only spoil the game. You can also collect comic books throughout the game which can unlock codes or unlock a comic book cover. The comic book covers are artwork of an authentic hulk comic book, it's a very nice touch. I highly recommend this game to all because I believe it's the best super hero game I have ever played. Have fun causing mass destruction and reeking havoc everywhere.
