One of the best Star Wars games around
Graphics - Judging it fairly, for its time are pretty good, it has detailed fighters craft, decent looking structures and kick-ass AT-AT and AT-ST's!!
Sounds - Pretty good, it has the old star wars style sounds to it, and many cool soundtracks. Also i think the sound effects for the tie fighters are well cool!! the screech they make is spot on!!
Gameplay - The gameplay is absolutly superb. Uncomplicated controls make this game a delight to play. The gameplay is mainly about dog-fighting your enemies, or blowing up certain buildings. A nice addition to the game is being able to trip up the massive AT-AT's using a tow cable!! The gameplay in this game is something you must experience for yourself, it's truely enjoyable.
Value - The way the game works is every time a mission is finished, you get a medal. No medal is awarded if you sucked ass. Higher medals are awarded for more enemies killed, a faster completion time of the mission, higher accuracy etc... The medals range from bronze to gold. So collecting all gold medals in order to unlock the hidden fighter craft takes some time, and you'll keep coming back for more. However, for those un-committed gamers, once the game is completed they may feel there is nothing more to do.
I have been playing this game on and off since 1998 and have unlocked everything. But there is something about this game that makes me come back for more... It is a true Star Wars classic and a must have. I would recommend anybody that owns a N64, or those going on a retro game hunt to get this game - asap!
