Sonic the Hedgehog is one the best games of 1991.

Two wonderful games were released in 1991: Super Mario World, and Sonic the Hedgehog. Why Sonic the Hedgehog? It brought memorable tunes, impressive, simple graphics, and a load of fun and addiction.

Everyone has heard of the blue hedgehog, but maybe not in a positive way. Ever since Sega ever stopped making their own video game consoles and being a first party developer, Sega has went downhill with their blue legend. It is nice to escape from all the chaos that Sega has brought Sonic through with the very original game for the Genesis.

Graphics very simple; very colorful. Topnotch for the 16-bit Sega Genesis console.

You have probably already heard the very first level: Greenhill Zone's tune from somewhere. If you heard it, and liked, then you may enjoy the rest of the tunes in the game because they are similar.

You are able to beat the game in one sitting, because it is somewhat short-- that is not to say you will not get a few game overs on your way to there because this game can get challenging on the way. Each zone has three zones, each are pretty short though. The game is so addicting that you may even want to go back to play game again and again.
