ridge racer all the way for ps1

ridge racer is one of the best playstation 1 games out there and it would be a close tossup between it and any other racing game on the system. the graphics are great and never stutter. the cars are glorious and the tracks are pretty cool as well but all of the cars seem to handle the same. some just require more braking than others. the decal customisation could have been used better as it is too tricky to use the way it is. drift is definately much more crazy than grip. going sideways is definately the drawing factor when it comes to ridge racer. the songs are well, japanese and would be more suited to an arcade but its better than all the techno rubbish that is in nfs. in fact the drifting and music is all that really sets it apart from nfs otherwise its a dead heat between real cars and sideways cars
