IMO GoW and Halo2 are some of the best games XBL has to offer. One of two things a) you dont like the games b) the players are treating you badly/ being idiots. If you dont like the games then im sorry i think ur out of luck. GoW and H2 are considered some of the best action/shooters for the xbox. However, you might consider trying other genres like sports and such. As for MMORPGs i dont think ur gonna get much better than ur WoW.
I think you should give it more time and since its only ur first week you may want to hone ur skills a bit with these games before going online. They will be pissed if you dont know what ur doing initially. If you manage to make a few friends then i suggest you play with them or join a clan, thats the biggest plus on XBL (being able to add friends and play with them and cross invite games). If ur still not happy then you can always cancel ur subscription, no big.
all im doing is watching a dvd and all of a sudden my xbox freezes so i shut it down. i restart and....AH?! a red blinking light... a black screen...an error number!!
no worries ill call xbox and itll all be well :)
NOT! somehow my serial number doesnt match on their system (no i did not mistake it for another number) why? why?! i bought my xbox at TARGET for god sakes. anyway they say to send it in... i decide not to wait for their 'delivery box' so i send it fedex and they gave me instuctions on how to do so...
fedex says its delivered!
but i called xbox support and they said theyve got no news on whether its delivered or not...i commend the 24hr support but uh...whats with my DVD drive crashing for no reason? and why isnt my serial number registereing on their service. why cant they find my xbox after i fedex it to them.. WHY DONT THEY LOVE ME?!
(anyone else ever had the "uh that serial number is invalid. u sure that 6 isnt an 8?")

good news though....microsoft called me today. btw i dont live in the united states...i live in trinidad (caribbean) and so that means quite a bit to me that they took the time and money to call out of the US. despite the xbox breaking i must admit microsoft has some great customer support :)
