I was really disappointed when they got rid of Religion for 'Civics' in the Civ 5 so I'm glad that this is being addressed.

@Killer6b9 'cept you can get a new slim 250 GB xbox and a kinect for 99$ if you sign a contract for xbox live for two years. Using this model 299$ doesn't seem that unbelievable.

@PodXCOM Considering this document was from the middle of 2010 I'm inclined to believe that the specs mentioned are not set in stone.

The 99$ xbox + kinect with a two-year xboxlive contract is testament to MSFT's future strategy. Would it be so hard to believe a 299.99 console with a two year commitment to xbox live? I think that price point would be pretty reasonable assuming this is MSFT's plan for the future.

@irwin88 some would argue it's useless for the current gen console.

@vault-boy Difference is that MSFT can make up the difference with XBL subscriptions. This puts MSFT in a unique position to sell their hardware for dirt cheap. The 99$ xbox + kinect with a two-year xboxlive contract is testament to MSFT's future strategy.
