@prawephet: Last week I would have agreed with you. After all the footage I've seen today I'm not so sure that driveclub is the better looking game

@scottpsfan14: Thanks for posting. I thought that screenshot was taking in motion but nope. Right and the starting line, awful textures and all. Everytime I've seen this game I've been blown away by the photorealism. Now, it looks mediocre. If you can't see that you're lying to yourself

Right but what I'm saying is when I do the math I'm only paying 40$ more than I would If I bought the console outright.  For alot of people it is easier to scrape together 300$ over 500$ so paying an extra 40$ to get the console without having to save up for it may entice alot of people.

No I don't think you're right If you do the math.  Lets say I am going to buy the next xbox at full price at 500$ and I am going to continue subscrribing to XBLG for 60$ a month.  Over the course of two years I've paid 620$ for my Xbox and my XBLG (500 + 60 + 60).  Now lets say I opt to buy the subsidized model at 300$ and be obligated to pay for XBLG for two years at 15$ per month. 300$ + 180$ + 180$ = 660$.  So when you look at you are paying 40$ more for the privilage of paying off the console long-term and frankly that's not a bad deal at all and one I could see many people opting for.  I might even consider it.

He is serious. This is exacatly why Sony is going to underperform this Generation.  They are behind the times and are constantly playing catch-up. whether or not you care for twitter it is an effective tool to create buzz around a new product.

This is a huge deal.  Give smaller developers the ability to code one and have it available on xbox, Win8, surface and windows phone?  What developer wouldn't want to jump on that.  Plus the ability for us consumers to purchase a game once and play it on mulitple platforms would be deadly.  They've already started pulling this off with games like Galatic Reign and Skullz of the Shogun.

I run Win8 on my primary PC and I don't see how anyone could say it is no good for games.  Playing through Farcry 3, Batman Arkham city, Sleeping Dogs, Hitman absolution and Saint's Row the Third.  All purchased through steam on steam sales and they all look and run great.  The only reason Gabe Newall is so down on Win8 is it is the first time that Valve might actually have to compete in the digital distrubution marketplace.

So just to be clear I own both consoles and decent gaming rig.  That being said, my PS3 gets almost no use anymore.  I keep on hearing over and over that Sony has the best exclusives but I just don't get it.  In my experience the only exclusive I found that is worth playing is Uncharted 3 and after I beat that I felt like I've seen everything the PS3 has to offer.  I enjoyed my free copy of Infamous (from the PSN fiasco) but it was like 6 hours of gameplay with absolutly no reason to pick it up again and I feel as if this is consistent with all of their exclusives.  Seriously GoW = 4 hours of astonishing visuals with dull gameplay, 2D characters and shallow storyline, KillZone = a competent shooter with no defining feature to keep me coming back.  GT = it's a racer, it plays like other racers on other platforms. LBP2 = Really?? This game is used to support your case that PS exculsives are better?  Their are literally hundreds of indie platformers (on both consoles) that are way more fun than LBP2 (super meatboy anyone?)

So considering I don't much care for PS first party exclusives can someone give me a good reason to look forward to the PS4?  Everyone seems to be falling overthemselves praising Sony for their press conference but honestly they announced exactly what I expected.  More processors, more RAM and zero innovation.  Sure sharing gameplay videos and having someone jump into your game is a new feature but I can't see it being used more than once by majority of gamers just to see how it works.

Can anyone find a reason for someone who doesn't care for PS exclusives to care about the PS4?  Sony certainly hasn't done it and if they are only trying to appeal to their hard-core PS fans this is going to be a long uphill battle for them for the next 7 - 10 years.

And how many DLC's did shadow of colossus have??

This is a stupid argument.  Shadow of colossus was fun but it was like 6 or 7 hours of gameplay.  Skyrim is like 60 to 70 hours of gameplay.  Hell, Morriwind was a better game than Shadow of Colossus and that was in the same generation.

You act like XBL is such a money grab but it does cost money to continue running a quality service.  And it is a quality service, if it wasn't I wouldn't pay for it.  It is leaps and bounds ahead of PSN and Sony knows it.  You think PSPlus was implemented because Sony just loves giving their customers free games?  They are laying the groundwork for something bigger because they know that it is going to take serious resources to compete against XboxLive so they better get their customers used to monthly subscription fees early on.
