I'm wondering how much of the 8GB DDR5 will be left for games after running all the background services or how much is reserved for them. Don't get me wrong, I will probably buy PS4 when compared to rumors about Durango. I own PS3.
But no backwards compatibility with PS3, I'll wait at least one year to buy one for me. Few second hand games/price drops and much more tiles announced. I will not buy ~500$ paper weight. To many games left to play right now, on this generation.
Idea is somehow nice that the society wants to make parents think for once and they are not blaming video games for the shooting. Although this method seems a bit orthodox, but finally better approach than "Games are Satan's creation".
About these places, it depends whether they are making themselves good PR or just charity... if they do it just for PR, it sucks, that such a short amount of time was needed to start exploiting people for later profit.
