It's easier for parents to simply point at video games as the problem since there seems to be an extreme lack of responsibility in today's parenting generation. At the end of the day, it still pisses me off to see things like unrated blu-rays and dvd's but video games get the brunt of the sh!t storm because they're the newest form of entertainment for everyone to run an agenda on. At the end of the day, we must look at games like The Witcher 2 and LA Noire to really move things in the right direction for us. By actually living up to their rating and not glorifying the violence or the sex, it becomes more adult oriented for those who have a more "mature" mindset.

The Wii was an experiment in innovating the way we play our video games. People bought into it because no one had seen anything like it before. I myself am one of those people who thoroughly enjoys the time i have with my current Wii system. Later on I ended up buying both a PS3 and 360 mainly for the third party support as well as the first party titles that were released on these systems. I think now, looking back at what's been developing, i believe firmly that Nintendo is going to bring forth a new form of innovation in it's online component. While Live and PSN are good products in their own right, they haven't really done anything as of late to really propel the idea of online gaming forward. Now, i'm not knocking them down or even criticizing them at all, but let's face it, there isn't anything revolutionary with a service you simply sign into in order to play games online with. I think this article has a pretty solid idea on where nintendo may go, but without further details or even word if this whole thing is true, then my statement is nothing but a waste of words.
