No, picking the review that can reflect your opinion only helps the consumer, because you choose to listen to people who have similar views as you. So in the end you have a well rounded expectation of what a game has to offer to you and in the end you can make a better choice for your non disposable income. Your logic is flawed.

If a game is more fun to watch than to play, you did something wrong.

I am not really enjoying warframe anymore, I put in about 50 hours and it got really repetitive and I agree with the assessment, but I also know the developers are continuously adding in new content and taking in player feedback and adding and fixing all the issues with the game. I apologize for sounding rude, I just want the audience to keep in mind that they are continuously updating adding and changing the game, and many people just glance over at the number and disregard the review, and that is honestly a disservice to the game because while content and diversity is currently scarce, the base mechanics are very enjoyable.

While I agree that you want to let the audience know, and I do appreciate that, but officially reviewing the game is a stretch. Will this review be updated when the game is Live? or will it just stick? Maybe GS could implement a "first impression" style video and write up while games are still in beta, and update accordingly when it goes live.

Thanks for replying

Its in beta, like it or not. This game has been changing a great amount since it went into open beta. From UI changes to adding in enemies to taking in player feedback and implementing the feedback in the game.

Yes its free to play, and yes if you want to spend money you can. It is no where near enforced or even closely required to spend real money in this game.

Yes, the line between beta- and live has been blurred. But there is a reason that happens. These guys are independent, and do not have AAA money. The business model allows them to get make a living and continue working on the game, while having the best range of "testers" they could ask for. The danger with reviewing a beta is that it changes, and changes a lot. I could tell you warframe is not the same as it was 1 month ago.

Why is gamespot reviewing betas? This is a new unprofessional low for the website.

Not that I disagree with the review, but this is really stupid
