It's weird how you don't notice a difference in graphics even with that older setup.

I have a 2007 PC build that is close to that setup and I noticed a big difference in games.

I def looks better dont get me wrong.... Mainly Im pissed at how Flight Sim X runs.... Im a pilot... Would love to run this game completely maxed out... But I swear that game murders my PC...

Don't let random people on the internet control you. You're acting like the polar opposite of Sylvester stalone.

:P

Uncharted what are you talking about??? I have a Ps3 and love it so were on the same side...

that's not what I meant at all. It just sounds like You don't like pc gaming that much. (just kinda looks that way) Just game how you want to game :)

If you want to upgrade go for it.

Lol, im not a huge PC gamer.. Just kinda putting my feet in... Im sue once i get everything right ill be fine.

In my experience they practically are, minus a couple of party/chat options on LIVE. Oh and LIVE has a more talkitive community from what I noticed.

After getting a PS3 this year and spending some time on PSN I haven't noticed any REAL differences besides those chat options.

The amount of lag is the same (their both primarily p2p)

Downloads are the same (at least for me, but I have heard it's slower for others)

Other than thse chat options is there any BIG reason as to why people say one is better than the other?

Is there any REAL reason as to why I payed for a Gold account earlier this year (before I got my PS3)

I still have 6 months left on my Gold account and unfortunately I haven't seen any real reason to renew it except for my friends who most happen to be on LIVE.

Live is considerably better than PSN... Only problem you have to pay for it..

Ok, I started a thread not too long ago saying that PC games dont look much better than console games.... Of course I was flamed immediately... According to you guys playing Crysis at 1440x900 with everything on high isnt maxed out.... Which I kinda now get... I got some extra cash this holiday and im looking to upgrade graphics cards.... Now I have looked at benchmarks on toms hardware but im still unclear about what to get...

Currently I have:

Athlon 6000+(x2) 4GB ram 8800GT........... Plz recommend me the most affordable card that can play crysis "maxed out" as well the new Total War game maxed out... Along with all other games maxed out with a res of at least 1080p so I can play on my HDTV....

Thanks in advance im just trying to get a better PC gaming experience for a decent price..

[QUOTE="kuraimen"] No but you get your connection which is what you're paying for. Microsoft is not charging for "everything on the internet" but or the basic connection which is exactly what you're paying to your ISPkuraimen

They are charging me for the service they provide over the Internet, which is playing online on their console. Not seeing the value of it is fine, hysterically claiming it should be free is silly. I'd like it to be free, but then would it be the same quality? Probably not, if PSN and Wii online are anything to go by.

I feel that so much talk about quality is simply a excuse people use to convince themselves they are not being ripped off by paying for a service twice since the connection quality of PSN is pretty much on par with XBL. Would you pay Machintosh, Dell, HewlettPackard, Asus, Toshiba, etc everytime you would like to connect any of their devices to the internet? What if each of them charged $60 a year?

Your logic is soo flawed its baffling me...
