Hi. I just bought a new 42" Sharp, and it only hascoaxial-output to transmit sound to the receiver (it doesn't have RCA out or optical-out). I have everything hooked up to the tv: dvd player, media player, ps2, and xbox360. And the sound is hooked up via coaxial from the tv to the receiver. I'm able to hear all sounds through the receiver when using all devices except for the Xbox360. My 360 is hooked up via HDMI. The sound on my tv is really bad and for some reason, I can't get the sound of the 360 unto the receiver. It's really annoying because I tried playing FF13 today. Right now, the 360 is hooked up via VGA and RCA-audio, and the tv is transmitting sound through the coaxial. I'm not happy though because colors on the VGA cable has this washed-out/faded color appearance. I couldn't find anything on Google.

That's a super good deal. Because the Elite normally goes for $300 by itself. And you're getting $120 worth of freegames with that! In 2008 holiday, I paid $200 for my Xbox Arcade....it didn't even come with a HDD, or any free games.

Have you guys seen those mini external 7-9inch LCD monitors that goes for ~$120 a piece? I can't justify paying that much money just for a little extension monitor. I think it'd be cool if it's possible to use the iPad as a 10" IPSextension monitor with my PC. It'd just be another justification for me to get an iPad. What do you guys think?

I couldn't find the answer to this question in the Windows 7 section. I bought an Acer AS1014-8414 11.6" laptop that came with Vista Home Premium and it was eligible for the Windows 7 upgrade. I putted in my order for the eligible Windows 7 Home OS disc. However, I'd prefer Windows 7 on my desktop as I use my desktop as my primary computer. Would I be able to use this Windows 7 OS disc to install it on my desktop? Or would it only do a clean install on my new laptop? I haven't gotten the disc yet, so I can't try it out and I'm really curious. Thanks!

Its ddr3. Its the market switching from ddr2 to ddr3 which will cause from here on ddr3 to get cheaper ddr2 to get more expensive.

KLONE360
Ah, that makes sense. So when manufacturers re-tool their plants to produce DDR3, the DDR2 market will be just feeding off of the remaining supplies of DDR2, which will then only get rarer and rarer. I've never thought of that. Thanks for bringing that up.

So I was looking to buy another stick of 2GB RAM for my 2nd laptop on Newegg. In mid-August 2009, I bought a G-Skill 2GB DDR2 667 for $26 on sale w/ free shipping. The original price was $30. I was looking to buy the exact same RAM stick because I wanted the latencies to be the same. But upon checking back on Newegg for the same producttoday, it's now $46 w/ $6 shipping! I guess I'm just going to wait until summer in hopes the prices would drop back to before.

It really depends on the size of your tv too. On my 37", it definatley looks a lot better with HDMI because I could see little artifacts running vertically on the screen with component. But on my 32", I can't see any difference. With VGA, I couldn't tell the difference at all. I'd go with HDMI because you can find Monster Cable HDMI wires on eBay for as little as $15 with shipping. And your setup will be cleaner because HDMI also transmits digital sound. The only reason why I have the $40 VGA cable is because I used to have the older Xbox360 which didn't have the HDMI output.

Yeah, that's what I figured. It's not a big deal anymore as I have netbook now, so when I'm at the coffee shop, I just use my netbook for internet surfing. Before, I was using my iPod touch to surf the web at coffee shops...cuz Safari on the iTouch was that good.
