Not 100% true. In most cases, yes, you don't save money - it's sole purpose is just to guarantee you get a copy on day-one. But on occasion, for instance like Target, if you reserve a game for $5, they give you a $5 giftcard to spend - which is essentially $5 off the copy of the game when you go to pick up the copy of the game on release day. But such promotions RARELY exist. The last time I remembered was for Halo 3.

All the time for my older brother. He's a moron when it comes to computers. He frequently uses Limewire to install programs - and we all know stuff from Limewireare plagued with viruses. Then I'd have to try to get rid of the virus - sometimes the virus wreaked so much havoc, a complete OS re-install would be needed. And oh yeah, he thinks he can go about uninstalling a program by just going into the Programs folder, and then deleting the folder and icon from the desktop....lol.

Forza 3 all the way. I play every genre of games, but with Forza, even if I don't feel like playing games (could be that I'm tired or something), I can still play it. I just turn it on, and race in B-Spec mode (the mode where you just hire a virtual driver to race for you in career mode). Then I just sit back with a bottle of beer, watch the race, relax, and get my gold trophies - lol.

Gears of War! :) I saw the graphics on my friend's HDTV, and my jaws literally dropped. That was when I decided to get the Xbox 360. My 2nd game was Project Gotham 3, followed by Halo 3. The graphics of the Gears of Wars 1 still fascinates me to this day....lol. The 360's lifespan has a long ways to go IMO.

The truth is, unless your TV is 42"+, 1080p is good for nothing but bragging rights. You'll never notice a difference on smaller TV's (and, really, 37" is still pretty big) unless your face is right up to the screen. Even on a 42" the difference is slight. If you're playing on a 62" TV, then you definitely want to go with 1080p, but buying a 37" 1080p TV is a waste of money. Sure, you can tell all your friends that you have a 1080p TV, but it won't make much difference (even on media that actually runs it).

And, as others have posted, some 720p TV's just plain have better pictures that other brands that display 1080p. My 720p LG 37" looks significantly better than a firend's Samsung 1080p 52". This doesn't mean that 720p is a better display, just that my TV has a better picture (which could be due to contrast ratio, calibration, and other factors).

Not entirely true. If you intend to use your 32" panel doubling as a tv and a computer monitor, then 1080 native is a must. I have a small room, so I have to make do with just one panel since all I have room for is a desk for aPC montiorOR a tv stand for an HDTV. I tried using a 1366*768 native 32" as my PC also, and it was SUPER pixelated cuz the individuals pixels were so large - very straining on the eyes when reading texts. So I upgraded to a 32" 1920*1080, and wow, a WORLD difference. Not pixelated at all and totally usable as a PC monitor. I'm a happy camper now - my panel serves as both an HDTV and PC monitor. But in terms of viewing tv or movies, yes I agree with you, I couldn't tell the difference between the 2 sets.

I really REALLY miss the open-world exploring in Final Fantasy's - like FF7 and FF8. It's just so much more fun being able to explore the world - it makes me feel like I'm actually a part of the Final Fantasy world cuz I can go and explore whatever I want. This is what got me into the Final Fantasy games. I don't think game-size is an issue in terms of open-world exploring, because look at Assasin's Creed - the world is VAST, graphics looks amazing, and it's all in ONE disc! And if disc-size was the issue for SquareEnix (in terms of the Xbox360 atleast), I'll take open-world exploring over CG-cutscenes anyday! I'm playing FF13 at the moment, and I feel like I'm exploring the world by walking through a hallway.

On the 360, use HDMI for video and optical directly to the receiver for audio. AKS01
I don't get it. My Xbox360 doesn't have optical output on the back......

[QUOTE="Amith12"]

What RCV have you got?

If you have a good quality one, then try this

RCV ---outputs to--- TV-----Everything else plugs into RCV using HDMI, except PS2, which connects directly to TV

I'm using an older SONY receiver from 2003, and it doesn't have HDMI input or anything. I also have a new Yamaha receiver that I just bought 2 months ago - it has 3 HDMI inputs, but apparently, it can't process sound from HDMI, it only bypasses it to the tv.

Dose your TV have a headphone jack? thats What I use with my 40 inch straight into my stereo head. And it works great. All it takes is a 3.5mm to audio left and right cables. or you could find an adaptor thats like 4 inches long with 3.5mm and audio RCA females, and just use regular audio cables. Thats exactly what im using and its great. But my setup is just regular stero, not 5.1 or 7.1 surround. But my setup is great and works for me.JuggaloRandall
Nope, it doesn't have any other audio outs besides the coax. I'm really disapointed with it because it's a brand new model, but it has far fewer features than my older high-end 32" Sharp.
