@texasgoldrush: but those of us who hate visual novels had to suffer through the same schoolyard over & over & over & over to get most of that story, so this is definitely more appealing to me, personally. Too bad they couldn't at least add some twists. It sounds like they didn't even try, after this game had been leaked like 2 years in a row.

@Ikzai: entire season 25 was trash, to me. I don't remember a single laugh in all 7 or so episodes, so i must agree.

I could never get into it, no matter how many friends loved it. The game play just wasn't fun to me. I loved splinter cell, however. Too bad we couldn't get kojima production on a splinter cell game, lol. These days, u can just go stream the cutscenes, but in my day that wasn't an option. U just had to watch a friend play it if u didn't like the game play, or just read about it in a gaming magazine.

Edit: i forgot, i did play through the GameCube remake. It was good, but i tried every MGS after that & didn't finish a single 1 except MGS2 w cheat codes, & i skipped to the very end, lol, that took hours of watching scenes & reading before u could olay anything. These games should have gotten the visual novel treatment, lol. Just make a choice & watch what happens. I love JRPGs, so long games aren't an issue, but MGS was just lacking in the gameplay department, IMO. I played MGS3 on 3ds & ps2, played MGS 4 & 5 on ps5, peace walker on 360 & psp. Didn't finish a single one, cuz none could hold my attention, the gameplay was just so bad to me. I'm so glad others liked it, but wasn't for me, & i never truly understood when i could be seen, even in the newer games.

@Pyrosa: he was trying to call out the way they score games, not haggle over the merit of this particular game, IMO.

@VANGUARD003: i hate "retro" graphics, especially 8/16 bit, as it ruins immersion for me, but i really enjoyed this game & was able to look past that aspect for once. So, u do have a point. Idk if it's a 10, either, but i would agree with the 9 (i haven't played the new content).

Wow, i enjoyed this game on switch. I need to go download the update & try it again. I only cleared a couple of the campaigns, cuz I'm not a huge rogue like/lite fan, but this was addicting.

@ps5gamer: I'd be all over it if it weren't rogue like. Sadly, it gets no funds from me.

@Pierce_Sparrow: playing the same content repeatedly isn't fresh or new to many of us, though. In a rogue lite, at least u get permanent upgrades usually, but still not my thing.
