i hope this is not another game where you fight huge amounts of mindless enemies. i much prefer deep combat system with few enemies than an idiotic zombie game or "dynasty warriors" kind of combat that is shallow and only relies on large numbers... sadly this doesnt look like what i am looking for. also i have a feeling you can customize your character much.... all pre-defined classes....

the DLC is just a convoy mission? dont get me wrong - the convoy missions were my favorite missions next to the gang hideouts, but the entire DLC is just a convoy mission?! (i dont consider a different texture for a coat and a gun worth any while)

doesnt seem worth it at all....

seriously, gamespot? you are trying to show graphical fidelity of this game while driving recklessly in a car?! this will not allow the viewer to see the essence of the visual change from high settings!! you should have made the video of aiden walking the streets. maybe in the rain where textures pop more due to reflections and great bump mapping. you messed up, guys. i love you but u made a bad decision with this video.

i like what im hearing. i wouldnt want a sequel to homefront 1, but this take on the premise of occupied USA is much MUCH more interesting than the first game. it's open world in a devastated occupied urban landscape.... im not sure i have ever played such a game. im eager to learn more.

@warriors30 absolutely wrong. the open world gives you the opportunity for many side activites and random acts of action , driving and stealth that wouldnt exist otherwise. thank god UBI didnt go the way you think they should've.

@OurSin-360 @TheLeftHandDoom that's right. and those old school games are long gone and there's a reason for that. games have advanced and became smarter in how they present things. if you cant handle a game without a wiki than the game is doing explanation wrong. it's like being in a physics school that doesnt explain the basics but only throws equations on you. a good school teaches you the rules you need to know to solve the equations. if you must turn to other students or to google to understand the physics needed to solve the equations than your school taught you poorly.

i respect this review. it isnt trying to please the DS2 fans. it simply trying to be honest, personal and give a perspective of someone who isnt a DS hardcore fan, which is most of the ppl out there. sure, the game doesnt try and appeal to none Dark\demon souls fans but that doesnt mean these kind of ppl shouldnt have their own opinion on the game.
i tried to like DS1 and DS2. i tried a lot. in the end i find the game unclear on it's own (i think that a game that requires me to turn to 3rd party help is done wrong. especially when experimentation isnt rewarding but punishing) but most of all i hate that i have to do the same thing over and over and over and over and over again, and everything is the same in every single time. it's repetitive for every bonfire. if this was an open world game with encounters i can handle differently every time or try and use stealth or change my strategy i wouldnt have felt like im doing the same thing over and over again. as it is i just get tired of failing instead of having fun experimenting. i know what the best strategy is. it's just boring and repetitive trying to do the same thing again and again, only slightly better. i can see whyothers like the souls series, but i kinda feel ppl like it because most games these days are over explanatory and easy and ppl are looking for something different. DS is different. just not good different, IMO. and the horrible graphics and sound on top of all that just makes it not worth my while. decent combat system, wonderful art design and a healthy challenge isnt enough to make a game good in my book and im not the only one who thinks that way... and im not wrong. i just have my own opinion.
