Look at the lighting through the clouds on the PS4 and PC version vs Xbox One. Xbox One can't handle it. I own both consoles, and look to build a PC at some point in the future, but man, the Xbox One is handicapped. PS4 looks sharper too.

When it comes to sales, PC graphics don't matter:

PS4: 330,703

XOne: 188,200

PC: 107,545

PS3: 77,009

X360: 75,709

Thats weird......Why does the Xone look better than the other two?

I thought I was gonna' be disappointed by this game, but it's flipping great. A definite buy!.

Came here because I've been seeing the ad on TV, and it didn't look like a PS3/Xbox One title as much as it looks like an Xbox 360 title. The ad has all that last gen shiny face Unreal 3 look to it.

why do they even try to compare consoles with PC ?  it's not even fair, should keep it at ps4 vs Xone.  We all Consoles are weak.

Dark lighting usually comes off better.  At the very least its the video games version of romantic candlelight.  Great for hiding those imperfections.

Im so tired of these graphics comparison things, they are so pointless. All they do is get a bunch of hard core nerds fired up about what system is better and annoy the shit out of people like me. Gamespot, your clearly doing this on purpose because you know that some people care about this shit.

My PS4 has the best graphics! Jk I don't think I see a difference lol. I love my PS4 and have no complaints but get the system you want.

Graphics look amazing on the PS4 unless you have an antique tube TV or low quality TV.  I don't care about anything Xbox so I can't speak for that system or the PC.

I am definitely thrilled to see a video with side-by-side as well as complete imaging where it doesn't leave out a detail on the opposing side. i.e. Like the thumbnail showed for this post, there was a green lighting fixture on the Xone side and not for PS4. This should be with all graphics statistical analysis's comparisons. What ever they're called now a days. I don't care, I'm still fine with the quality of VHS tapes.

PS4 shadows look exactly the same as on PC, but not on bone

I see same quality on both consoles...

Is it just me or does this game just look kinda ass regardless of the system?  Not a very graphically impressive game imo.

Game looks pretty much the same on both. It's not like it's even a good looking game graphically.

Play the wqhd on the PC, and your console not nearly.

even though i don't own a console, i think the fact that they all look approximately the same it's a win situation for pc gamers also, ports will be easier to do..on the other hand, these graphics comparisons are pointless.

It is a crap game to use as a comparison. The graphics are crap on all gen's. I am very disappointed with this game.

As someone who only plays PC games and is always upgrading on a regular basis, I can tell you that there is no need to compare this game with modern consoles because the game itself does not do anything above and beyond what the new consoles are capable of. I still loved the game even though I beat it in 12 hours on the hardest difficulty, but this is not a good game for a graphical comparison. I would save that for Watch Dogs which has much higher graphical settings on PC compared to the new consoles.

PC on high setting. LMAO why not use Ultra ?

@wa128 Most people don't use monitors above 1080p now days.  Why spend hundreds on a small monitor for a slightly higher res?

My 60" DLP was only $600, and looks better than any LCD.

spenta

@Shebuka I thought it looked pretty much the same on all three which means they skimped on the PC version.  Weak sauce.

chippiez

@devak108  They sacrificed some texture resolution and used extensive idTech5 layering to help keep the framerate locked at 60 regardless of what's going on.  That said, they created A TON of environments, so the tradeoff is worth it.  Also, when you're moving, it looks really really good.  Some surface will look a little rough up close if you stop and just stare at it.  But there are also plenty of areas that look absolutely fantastic.

vassago_

@sammoth It's meant to be a comparison of mean settings. Of course if you max out a PC it will look better. That wasn't the point of this comparison.

@DrKill09 my 27" 16:9 1080p 3D monitor looks better than any TV I've come across through 25 years of shopping. and still use my 47" 1080p TV with certain PC games and the gamepad. if you're going over 1080p with a monitor i doubt it's very small.

abortedsoul
abortedsoul

@DrKill09 Right, because a 56% increase in resolution from 1080p to 1440p is a 'slightly higher res.'

@deadpen @wa128

It's woefully clear that you have no idea what you're talking about. Anti-Aliasing can be run on basically any system of any budget. And no, you do not have to spend 'a crap load more money'. Those systems can easily handle most forms of anti-aliasing with little to no performance drop-off.

@2tonjunk don't bother... Sony fanboys has pretty bad eyes
