I have heard about steam in offline mode but cant seem to figure it out. I turned my internet off than launched Left 4 Dead 2 but when the game got to the loading screen the game closed and a window popped up saying steam needed to be connected. I had logged into steam though because turning my internet off though so is there something I have to do for offline mode? Tomorrow I am going on a trip and I am not sure if where I will be will have internet so I want to know if it would be possible to play my steam games still.

Ok and by doing this I just have to load on them on a new computer in the future after installing the game and everything will be there?

Yep, exactly. Just past 'em back into the folder and start the game up.

you mean back into the same folder they were saved in right?

Also for games that involve dlc do you need to re download all the dlc for the file to work? Like for mass effect 2 would I need to log back in to my ea account and re download all the dlc than put the save file back into the folder?

I am new to pc gaming and heard on another forum that it is possible to transfer save files but is there anyway to back them up like on a flash drive or something? I know if you go into program files there are folders that say save data, but I figured I should ask first I don't want to risk screwing up my games.

No way Im going to stop buying Final Fantasy games. If you don't like one you can always look forward to the next one since you know it will be different. ex. for me I did not like XII but find XIII better. I think this will be the Final Final Fantasy for the people who don't play Final Fantasy normaly and only bought it because of SE making it have a more mainstream appeal. What I still don't get is do people who don't play Final Fantasy games even know everyone is different? Its obvious that the story is what SE used to attract it to more people but a turn based RPG isn't for everyone. The fact that things like towns, the airship, and side quests were taken out shows that SE knew people who weren't fans of the game would find it to difficult and I think SE wanted to take some of the negative sterotypes away from rpg's. Thats probably one of the reasons why all the job names were changed in the US. I mean if your trying to make an rpg seem like its not nerdy of coarse names like Attacker, Blaster, Defender, Enhancer, Jammer, and Healer are going to come off as kind of geeky. So naturally names like Commando, Ravager, Sentinel, Synergist, Saboteur and Medic would come off sounding better to non FF players even though they should have kept the Japanese versions. If there is any data on why SE made those kind of changes could somebody post it?

I know I was thinking the samething when I got to that part in the game. Amazing how much work SE put into the details in that game. The music was also great for that area.

Back when I started 9th grade in 2002 my friend found this video of Final Fantasy somebody made. It was one of the chocobo themes, I don't remember which one, with a guy singing lyrics to it. The animation in the video was sprites and it was stop motion fighting various monsters from different games. Since this was before youtube I am having trouble trying to track this video down since my friend basically sent it to me from aim. What I remember about the song it was in a midi format and some of the lyrics went "Final Fantasy its an rpg, I play it everyday and night of my life and thats why I have no wife" thats really all I can remember but the main lyrics were "Final Fantasy its an rpg......" Recently I began thinking about it and I can't get it out of my head so I was wondering if any of you might know. It might have been made by someone at school who sent it out to some friends but maybe it went viral so I though I would check here.
