I guess there's always going to be arguing... You could pit the original Halo game against Reach, ODST or Halo 3 and they'll be some one out there who will argue to the grave that the original was graphically superior. Or accuse Bungie of paying for the reviews of other games... @swamptick Go on the 360 versus PS3 comparisons and I bet you that you'll hear the same thing coming from the Sony fans. Mainly because both sides refuse to accept the facts. There's always something wrong with them. Either there muddy and low quality, or they've been photoshopped because Gamespot are obviously -sarcasm- Sony/Microsoft Bias.

I mean what kind of paranoid world are you living in?. I'd expect this on a PS3 versus 360 Graphics Comparison however on a game from the same series on the same console?. That's really the big cop out word for you fanboys isn't it?. "Well I don't agree with you... They most have paid you to say it"... Christ. At this point I think you may want to re-evaluate your life. Anyway implausible paranoid delusions of a fanboy aside... Well I expected as much. Though it's not that big of an upgrade from what I've seen and I guess it goes by your taste. I am questioning the comparisons for the geography. They don't really seem to be the best picked photos to compare. They both seem so radically different that well... What's the point. Though to be honest I'm not sure why such a graphics comparison exists. I mean, it would be like comparing Mass Effect 1 versus Mass Effect 2... Not much of a point to it. 9/10 chances the pre/sequel will have better graphics. I hate these comparisons things anyway. All it does is bring up arguement. Some that are implausibly stupid. Some that don't make sense. I mean, why is there any arguing here?. I'm sure this place is full of Halo fanboys so surely you should be happy because it's only reinforcing how good your chosen games are.

@enkeixpress_: For ACII yep definitely, I don't agree with gamespots opinion on this one, they say the benefit of the 360 version are the surface normals but to be honest here they don't really make much of a difference. Both the PS3 and the 360's textures look pretty much the same for this game with the exception of the wooden floor on the first and second pictures which in all honesty doesn't make much of an impact... you'd miss it if you didn't know about these things so I don't really think they stack in the 360's favour for that, the PS3 version looks (as you said) brighter and clearer... not that much brighter but it definitely make more of an impact then the surface normals do here.
@:rex_sine_nomine That's why you should always do a little research first. I will admit that the graphics on some PS3 exclusives are much better then on the 360 due to well... they use blueray rather then HD disks. "and if you tried to use component you were only able to reach 1080i" That's if you was lucky... some of the components wouldn't even work for HD... they'd just turn your screen black. I don't know whether this was an actual fault of the hardware or me being unlucky... I had two from the original 360's an neither worked. The one I got from my latest 360 (RROD is a pain) didn't include the HD part of component so maybe that's the reason. I'll have to do more research on this before I claim it as the norm but from experience the HD didn't work until the HDMI and the VGA HD.

Xbox 360's support HDMI which displays at 1080p and you can use HD VGA cable on monitors which can go up to 1080p. I don't know where you've got your information from mate but I'd re-check it. Most Xbox games have the native resolution set at 720p but so do a lot of PS3 games. Heavy Rains Native is 720p, God of War 3 is 720p, Little big planet is 720p both Uncharted and Uncharted 2 are... the list goes on. Edit: With further reading it turns out that the Xbox 360 has had full 1080p support since 31 October 2006... The PS3 wasn't even released until November 2006 (2007 here in Britain) so I don't know where this 1080 vs 720p arguement as came from, especially when as said before... both 360 and PS3 games are 720p Native.
....I just look at my PS3 and 360 collection and realise that I could get most of these games on both consoles and they play the exact way... why are people arguing about this. This PS3 vs 360 war is senseless. Okay I'll admit it here, before I got the PS3 I used to think it was a bag of wank just like most here thing about the 360... I got the PS3 not too long ago and realised... they are just the same thing... they both play pretty much the same... they both act the same, heck most of the games on them even look the same. Each of them have a few perks here and there some are better on the PS3 and some are better on the 360. The real reason I'm moaning is that now I'm starting to become a part of the PS3 fan-base (I play my PS3 far more then my 360 these days) I'd expect more maturity out of you.
@Hackalakala My point isn't that people should find the 360 better... You should just enjoy your console. I enjoy my PS3 and my 360 just the same... just people on here seem to just want to rip the 360... and the people here seem... like children. Seriously look through the pages... look at any thing that might have just maybe one thing positive put to the 360... no matter how reasonable or even if it also includes some thing positive to a PS3... swamped with thumbs downs. I don't see many PS3 comments swamped with disdain. Mostly with praise... which gives makes me lose faith in the fan-base 360 fans aren't hanging around here swamping and ripping... it's just PS3 fans who with the looks of things can't let it go. How old are these people... this is some thing I'd expect from kids... 10 to maybe 15... Not adults. But hey as said... I doubt my point matters... people are going to read it and go ZOMG 360 FANBOY GARRRRRRR HIS OPINIONZ DONT COUNT THUMBS DOWN.
@ garskem I don't have COD for the PS3. Okay let me define what I mean by normal... I'm not talking about normal as in every day life normal, it's a term used when dealing with computer graphics... more specifically texturing. Most people see it as a bump map, the correct term is Surface normal but most just call it normals. This is often do to fake 3D in a texture to save polly counts.
