@limbo12 It doesn't say anything about forcing the hub. They just plan to create (in 5 - 10 years) a central hub that someone can go to to easily access all their VR content. That really doesn't sound any different than something like steam.
@ramonno @the_craig @limbo12 I'd also like to add that I've backed 39 projects on kickstarter, so I understand what it's like to back something. https://www.kickstarter.com/profile/133905669
@archav3n @notfrylock1987 If he took the money and ran, you might have something. I'm sure that he choice was affected by money, yes. Who would have an easy time turning down $2 billion? That being said, I don't believe he would have made the deal if it wouldn't benefit VR. A product like this takes a lot of money to produce.
@limbo12 @the_craig Would you prefer I deduce my stance in life by seeing which big companies own the products I use, and speculate on how they may try to F me in the future?
The real issue is that backers haven't given a single good reason as to why they are owed anything. The backers who are saying they are owed a say in where the company is going, are probably the same ones who say that a publisher has no right to say how a game is developed.
Ps. don't confuse that for me saying i like that publishers control developers.
@limbo12 @the_craig Well if that is the case they are doing a pretty shitty job. I have pretty much everything i dreamed i could ever own, and nobody is lining up to take it from me. Because it turns out that you can actually get ahead without demanding more than you're due.
