Yup, like MonsieurX said, it's very unlikely that it will run on an integratd GPU. I was able to run it on an ASUS 1201n netbook with 4Gb of RAM with the lowest settings, it was not that playable. I have two computers that run it on max settings, one a laptop and one a desktop, but those specs are another story. You can look up that netbook's specs if you'd want to get an idea of the minimum needed.

If MW3 gets over an 8.5, GS will lose a lot of credibility to me. That series has been the same for how many installments yet that doesn't seem to effect reviews.

Gears 3 can somehow get a 9.5 even though the only new mode is beast mode and a 4-player co-op which was well overdue for the series, Black Ops got a 9.0 depsite having nothing new over MW2 and even removing stuff. I just want a little consistency here.

Me too. Being more of the same is either a problem, or it's not. And, to be honest, I'm okay with either as long as every game gets the same treatment. I guess that's where the differentiating opinions between reviewers comes in, but this is something that can be a site wide policy.

I'm right there with you both. Wasdie's examples on COD and GeoW. Too much inconsistency. I would really expect the scores of those games to go lower, but somehow they don't. If they release an awesome game that sets the standard for something, be it racing, FPS, RTS or anything at tall; and then its sequel (or any other game for that matter) improves on that standard, shouldn't it get at least a similar score?

I still don't get the logic of the review. It is basically better in all aspects, but it scores less. And it can't be about weather effects and stuff like that, otherwise GT5 should've been an 11 because it had them!!! I am ok with the score as I don't usually care for racing games, but the review is horrible. I'll review the review by giving it a 5 = mediocre.

Gears of War 3, Rage, Dark Souls and believe it or not, The Darkness.

I downloaded the demo yesterday and had a lot of fun with it. I've never been into racers (I have Forza 3 which I tried but never played it again), but this one has me really interested, so much so that I will get it.

After seeing the review, I really want the game. It looks great and it is nice that the vehicle sequences feel like an arcade game. I am getting it later this week.

Are any of you going to be free to play some Horde mode this weekend? I don't mind putting aside DS and Rage for a short while. Would be really cool to nail that achievement, even if it's only 10 G!

Well I haven't tried Horde, but I am planning to spend my weekend playing the thing so I'd be happy to join you.

I'm currently on Act 5 Chapter 2 and this has been an amazing game all around. The online is fantastic both in how well it plays and the great variety in modes. The new Horde mode is my favourite but playing 4 player co-op in campaign arcade mode is superbly fun as well. All the cool little things really add up as well like how the Locost come busting up out of the ground, how the Former die when you shoot them, how the larger lambent creatures go out with a glowing bang etc. I really haven't seen anything to really fault this game on and in all likely-hood this will probably be my Game of the Year for 2011.Archangel3371

Really good review. I enjoyed it a lot. It got a good score and I also liked that they included the score at the end of the video like they used to. I am getting the 360 version, pre-ordered from Amazon. It's great to know there aren't any big differences between the versions. Rage and DS out on the same day, it's a great time to be a gamer.
