@Lord_Sesshy: they need a hard limit because if a base console player joins then things go wrong. They need to drop last gen completely. Make season 3 it.. heck make season 2 it.
Blame the base Xbox one... I get what people are saying and don't disagree but Microsoft would have to drop support for that console and honestly I hope they do after season 3.
The one thing about this limit is it's farther than older titles but again that base Xbox one only has so much memory, very slow storage and a weak cpu.
So gamers need to let Microsoft know that it's time to drop last gen support so halo infinite to truly grow and be what it was supposed to be.
I think it's an interesting take on BR without being like every other BR game. Plus it's not 1 death and you're out which is nice because I'm not Dr. Disrespect or JackFrags. I'm also sure once forge is out we will see more interesting takes on BR.

We can agree to disagree. I don't see a huge issue with your method but mine hasn't failed me in 20 years plus I don't need to cut or clean the end of the wire. I bought a bag of 50 banana plugs maybe 15 years ago and I challenge someone to get the wire out without unscrewing an end.

They get away with 40Gbps because chroma sub sampling is allowing them to as most people aren't running a PC at full bandwidth. Consoles don't run at full bandwidth either.
Also all these receivers are still using the broken Panasonic HDMI 2.1 chipset and that's the reason we have to now spend $40 for a 6 foot cable with a sticker instead of buying them on Amazon for $4.
It's also why the HDMI 2.1 spec means absolutely nothing which is a massive shame because Microsoft and LG worked insanely hard together to make this all very easy for everyone. When I say everyone I mean consumers, and other electronics companies.
The really weird thing is the PS5. The PS5 uses even less bandwidth. Something like 28Gbps at 4k120 HDR and that's because they are using massive amounts of compression when they don't actually need to. They also cut out certain audio codecs.. basically anything Dolby which is crazy because Dolby is everywhere. The other issue is DTS... Most earc devices don't support it and that means tons of Blu-rays and some DVDs won't have audio....
It's an even bigger mess than most realize so ty very much Panasonic and also ty to all the receiver manufacturers for not doing proper testing and having this chipset fixed. It would have meant a delay of at least 6 months but here we are 2 years later and still nothing works properly in terms of surround receivers.
It's almost like a conspiracy because at the same time sound bars exploded as did WISA. Let me tell you 1 simple fact... No sound bar or WISA speaker setup is going to sound as good as surround sound from a proper receiver. It's probably going to be another 2 years before you can reliably buy a receiver and not need to worry about it working.
These companies make a model and sell it for 4 years with minor software tweaks every year released as a "new" model. So we are 2 in with 2 to go until a truly new HDMI 2.1 receiver hits the market.
Btw Yamaha says xxxx features coming soon via software update. Things like 4k120 VRR HDR ALLM etc. It's said that for every receiver since 2020 so soon... Isn't happening
@Pyrosa: this is exactly the kind of thing you should support.... Unless of course you want old game remaster/makes to be more like what Rockstar did to the old GTA games.
You can buy unlimited somber smithing stones (+4 I think) from the giant guy reading a book near the castle with magic and giant hands protecting it... The one where you get the quest from the witch who gave you the ability to get your horse.
