the last one i bought was modern warfare 2(ps3) and i still pop it in occasionally. freeforall/teamdeathmatch/hardcore are usually populated, but as the above poster stated the cheating(hacking is probably more appropriate) is blatant and pretty much expected. i still have cod4 installed, booted it up a year ago and it had servers/players.
"Even if you play it on PC, it is so poorly optimized and the graphics look like doodoo." i played new vegas on a 300dollar 2006 rig on high. i've also played it on ps3 unpatched, and i'd say its a hundred times easier to complete due to all the experience/money gaining exploits left in the game.
that said, all you've discussed is bethesda. people don't like fallout simply because it's by bethesda, i'm a bigger fan of the isometric games prior to their acquisition. however, i do like fallout3/newvegas probably because i like oblivion.
final fantasy 2 i emulated, it felt like the first game with a crappier leveling system. that said, it's ridiculously exploitable with an emulator, i maxed pretty much everything(cept spells) in the first area of the game by changing the game speed to 6400x everytime i went into battle, took maybe an hour.
i played 3 on a ds, i just remember the later dungeons being ridiculously brutal.
@tab134: splinter cell, halo, psychonauts, beyond g and e. what other games do you think the xbox can't compete with?
chaos theory beats the gear solid crap all day every day. i hate the fact that i bought that "solid" metal gear crap.
lol we're talking about n64 not xbox, and ps1 games are better than xbox games imo, and 360, and xbone. splinter cell psychonauts and halo you can find on either pc or ps2.
