For me, personally, Witcher 3, as strange as this may sound.

Neither of the first two games ever really struck me as "amazing", despite all the great reviews the second one got from both critics and users alike. Good, but not that great is how I felt about them.

So I was rather cautious about 3, but with everyone I know that's into RPGs raving about it, I decided to take the plunge. By the end of the main story (and most of the secondary quests), I was floored. This was truly an amazing game. The entire quest line involving the Bloody Baron is one of my all time favourite story parts of a video game and I'll probably remember it vividly for years to come.

Another one is Assassin's Creed IV.

Was already disappointed by AC III, and then when they started pushing the whole naval combat thing, I thought it's going to be shit. But I was a huge AC fan at that time, so I got it anyway, and was pleasantly surprised when the naval combat was addictive as hell and improved the formula of AC a lot.

I don't use Gamespot outside System Wars these days, so this doesn't matter to me, but the best part of this thread are the people defending this. Like what the hell is the point of a graphics comparison between two versions if one version is intentionally gimped? Differences don't matter because it all looks good anyway? Then why do a graphics comparison in the first place?

I liked L.A.Noire a lot. Almost everything about it except the ending. Would definitely like a sequel, but I don't see it happening. A lot of people didn't like it. Though having Rockstar as a publisher and the info they initially provided about the game may have got some people to expect a GTA-like game, whereas the focus of the game was nothing of the sort.

I haven't really been amazed by anything Rockstar made after GTA San Andreas.

And on top of that, it seems like their focus is now on building online stuff where they can stick their microtransactions. Though I can't really blame them. People eat that shit up, and it's only normal to make more of what sells.

Quake 3 Arena. But mostly with bots because my dialup connection wasn't the greatest. Still had lots of fun. Simpler times.

People in many parts of the world have data caps that streaming games would eat up within a few hours. Hell, even in some areas of Japan, depending on the ISP. This kind of thing won't sell. It's like whoever made up this rumour completely forgot that Nintendo sells their stuff all over the world.

90% of physical copies in my country are bootleg, so almost always digital here.

Maybe not the best question to ask, but where the hell is the OP? I don't see it. Thread starts for me with the first reply.

All this is making me have second thoughts about getting this. Maybe I'll just go back to Canyon.

PC players are why Trackmania is even a thing now. Way to ruin shit as usual, Ubisoft.
