Don't get to worked up! These developers are financial devils. They know how to make it look like it's free with a good deal and a pat on the back.First few games will offer cheap equipment. Maybe 100 swords and shields for 50 Dollars, and customs and *hit for a bigger price. Everyone will think they've got a great deal. And just as it sticks, they will really "stick" it up gamers, and will charge huge amounts for little content.

This is just how Sony made and sold six-axis and Move, and how Microsoft made and sold Kinect. First they will earn your trust on some front-runners, and after they hooked you, it's all downhill from there.

The bittersweet truth is here and sooner or later we all gotta bite it: the worthy gamers will leave the hobby and start becoming something other than couch potatoes, while morons will join the non-gamers and will start a hollow consumer base that is always there and spends money on bullshit! And no pro gamer can do a damn thing about it...

@SythisTaru Just because it was made by a legend, doesn't mean it was awesome! It was good for the most part, but overall it was an experience that others could build up on.Off course can't deny it's greatness for being a pioneer. and the music culture references which were fantastic!I'm sure if schaffer would build a sequel, it would be 2 times better.

Itagaki has peroven himself to true hardcore gamers before. Both Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden series were successful and became franchises. despite his awful and bizarre interest in boobs and over exaggerated female body shapes, he is a great master of making video games. We just have to wait and see if the game flops or not, but judging based on his resume... it will be better than worse.

@DarkReign2552 I agree with Wolfgang12193. You are really good. But I think out of all the companies, SEGA would be best fitting. First of SEGA is one of the most honest companies. Second, they really value good games and specially innovation. Third, SEGA is one of the last companies that values hardcore gamers and doesn't inject it's games with easy crap to appeal to masses!

Itagaki would find a good home on SEGA!

anything that surpasses the limits might become frustrating. When you think about how much time video game makers put into making the murders realistic (or at times truly ridiculous!) and less time they spent on making a better gameplay, you realize that this amount of time dedicated to violence and sex is killing the art in games! No matter how much you love nickelback, you won't still find art and freshness in their music. because they spent all their time shaping something that will make the masses go "ooh! Aah! holy Shit!" and the rest that you know!

THEY'RE SKIING ON PROVEN FORMULAS! AS THE GAMING INDUSTRY DOES THESE DAYS!

beside the fact that I believe Capcom hasn't been the same since closing of clover studios, and just being a mean money making machine, this kind of portrayal is just wrong, even if we say that these kinds of dialogues are inevitable in the middle of a real fight (which they are) it's still stupid to apply the same formula on a symbol of transgenders, when they are having a hard time even by now, this is just a step backwards for morality in gaming industry. but I agree with you that poison is a strong character, which is a good counterweight to the concept. props for the article

I completely agree with the article. it's really sad to see some people come down to this level of profanity. when I see this kind of crap, I'm like: get the hell out of your home once in a while, interact with "people". learn to show some respect. people like jennifer Hepler, are mentors, masters to gamers. an apprentice always has to show respect. standing up to your mentor, shows that you don't know the most basic lesson of all... that you're still a child, and in this case, you are a kind of parasite for an industry that has been struggling over the years to be recognized as a branch of art, but still isn't taken seriously. that's just plain sad. and miss hepler should know, that good people always have as much haters as the lovers. in spite of those people, many of us feel for her and respect what she has done... but as a gamer I have to say the industry is getting too commercial. day by day the games that challenge you and make you work are becoming more scarce. even I don't like this situation and am getting more and more alienated by the way things are going... but seriously, acting like jerks isn't the way to get your message through... this is just sad...

I agree completely. I just try to keep my hopes up with the idea that while ubisoft is giving out such spin-offs (whatever they call them, they stil are spin-offs!) the developing team is working on the ACIII to make a hugely unique experience. even if they put 10 spin-offs out to the market, I will buy them all, only if the ACIII can live up to it's name. ubisoft was never known as a milker, and I hope it stays that way...
