So many fighting games this year...so little time. If I were to estimate what I spent the most time on, I'd say VF5 FS won the year for me. But I was more hyped for Persona.

I was surprised to not see SCV make the list...but judging by the competition I see why.

Good review.

I find it harsh that some people are giving the game hate because it's difficult to be good at. All fighters have a pretty hardcore learning curve. Tekken's is slightly above a few others in terms of getting at a decent level. There are a lot of strong players in the Tekken community, and definitely more of them than other 3d fighting game communities I've been a part of. Anyway, once you put the effort in, it pays off. But I guess some people just don't have the will to be a try hard just to be decent.

Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution had the best training modes/ tutorials I have ever seen. I almost wish I started the genre by playing that game because it taught me so much. If not for my friends, I would have never got into the competitive fighting game scene. Most training modes won't draw you a map...you have to find your own path.
