only way the walking dead game would have a chance of being good is if it used the dayz engine. Well I mean arma2 engine, but u kno what i mean.. And single player only cuz cuts the performance in half. But yeah for some reason games after movies/shows seem to follow a divine prophecy of almost always being awful. I havent played it yet but i just have a feeling it is going to get like a 3.5/10 lol
I think it is outrageous to blame video games for real life violent acts.. This completely undermines us as human beings, it is basically suggesting that we (the most intelligent creatures in the universe) DO NOT have any control over our own actions and behaviors. This is an extremely shallow form of thinking.. I understand that it is human nature to jump to conclusions and instantly think of what may be the cause to such terrible tragedies and happenings, but we HAVE GOT to be more realistic as a maturing nation. The "reefer madness" days of american propaganda is long gone, and we are not going to sit around and buy into the nonsense that is fed to us, we will stand up and make our decision once the research has been shown.. Havent we learned by now that things are not always what they initially seem to be? There needs to at least be some research before we can jump to such extreme conclusions...
Amongst the endless ocean of violent media/games/movies that every american is exposed to today, We instead should be in Shock & Awe of how scarce these events actually occur. In all honesty, without disrespect, we should be celebrating the 99.999% of instances where the person exposed to these violent games HAVE NOT commited any violent acts.
planetside2 is nowhere near as good as i was expecting it to be. I understand it is extremely difficult to make a lag-free MMO and ESPECIALLY using a first person shooter. But that doesnt explain to me why the graphics at first glance upon spawning inside a building (all graphics on highest settings gtx590) looks like an N64 game. The textures on 90% items are non-existent and the soldiers that are textured look like what you would NOT expect from sony 2012 title. The lighting however is gorgeous at times and when the sun rises on the cliffside you really get a great feel of the game. But the time of the day changes wayy too fast and most of the time the gamma or contrast or something makes night time look gray rather than black/dark. Besides that the combat is just plain laggy, the framerate is clunky, and you can run around for an hour (dropping into a HEAVY instant combat zones that are completely empty?) not being able to find any action. And when you do find the action you need to just hold down the trigger and hope that your connection registers a kill before your opponents.
