@Morphine_OD It was true in Season 1, it was true in Mass Effect 3, and it's true here: a focus on player choice does NOT entitle you to have exactly what you want happen.
Saying 30fps is a "failure and not a good artistic decision" is like saying black-and-white or even 8-bit isn't a good artistic decision. Sure, 60fps usually looks better, but who ever heard of somebody using old technology for effect?
I wonder if GS has ever thought of doing multiple reviews per game? Obviously not for niche indie titles like this, but I'd love to have Carolyn, Nick, AND Kevin's opinion on, say, the next GTA or Dragon Age.
I'm sorry folks, but a routine update carries a lot more weight for a multiplayer-focused FPS than an action-adventure brawler. That's just a fact. Releasing Arhkam City in a new box shouldn't, and doesn't, cut it.
It's kinda sad that the average donation is only $4.80. Hate EA all you want, but that would be a cheap to fair price for any [i]one[/i[ of those games.
@blackace @smitherean Of course it's bad for Gamestop. That' the point, isn't it? By why do you think it will be bad for devs? Despite what people say, I don't think this policy will reduce the money people spend on games - just the amount going into Gamestop exec's pockets.
What's good for the industry is good for the consumer, and GameStop profiteering off of used games is not good for the industry.
That being said, this policy will take a lot of selling. A low initial cost and a sub-$60 baseline game cost would go a long way. Don't forget that classics like Bioshock et al tend to be very affordable on xBox Live Arcade - it's not hard to get good old games on the cheap outside of the second-hand market.
