i'd say gears of war. i know this sounds insane, but its one of those games i never really heard anything about(except the ad running at the time..). the entire thing blew me away. awesome graphics and intense combat - until i mastered headshotting.

its just those games i havent heard anything about that blows me away - because i know nothing about them and therefore cant recite a 50 page long biography of the protaganist.

also baldurs gate serie on the playstation 2.

more like a hack'n'slash but still goes alittle under the RPG title(progression via stats, items and spells)

bioshock, assassins creed.. and probably crackdown :P

not that i hate mass effect, its just.. i like being a force to be reckoned with. and as far as i have seen, mass effect gently touches the squad/RPG side.

i thought it was only smug people who played those kinda games.. the people who after playing it goes "aahh, good thing i learned something from it". same thing about movies. "it says something about our daily life.. good thing i didnt just watch terminator 2".

the boss is probably the easiest thing i have ever defeated in a game. what an anti-climax.

(SPOOILER)

ofcourse if you watch all the credits you get to run around with jacks mask!

Gaming already went through a VR craze back in the mid 90's when 3D graphics just started to come out. You could go to malls and they would have these VR stations set up. They were pretty cool. You also had the virtual boy and the Tiger R-zone (though its debatable how much of a VR system that was. More like an eyepatch rather than a helmet).gameguy6700

wasnt it so flawed that most people, playing them for over 1 hour had a headache?

anyways, i'd say games are for fun, not realism. must ask.. arent the VRs just for watching the game? not playing?

because if so, then whats the point? we can buy television screens bigger than the eyesight.

even tho i was completely stoked on the game to begin with, i still was surprised by the fact that the whole thing.. well to be honest, OWNED.

more than once did i really feel creepified by the fact that i was trapped in a underarctica city filled with "drug-addicts". the one bad thing for this game(even tho i havent tried the retail version :P): it seems impossible to make a sequel i supose

im guessing there ARE blu-ray DVD-machines already being developed/finished? if so, then i would give the PS3 a C-

if not: C+

the simple lackluster of exclusive games for the PS3 gamer is overall sony's fault. its their responsibility as the grown up consol-creating company to take the blame. END OF DISCUSSION :P
