I'm working my way through career mode on easy/medium depending on the songs, because some of them are quite hard on medium for me :P I also find that the you can't use the touch sensitive buttons for some parts of the songs, as they seem to start highlighting the whole column with a colour :/ meme378

Ah thats the neck slidey bit i was talking about. You can either just use those notes like hammer ons, ie just press the right button without strumming or tapping, or you can just press the touch sensitive bar in the right coloured part which does the same thing. Also there are parts like that which are connected by a purple line and you slide your finger on the touch sensitive bar to catch the notes at the right time.

I have heard that there are many faulty symbols. It's terrible. I can handle clicking, but the squeaking noise really gets to me. I've resorted to using the touch sensitive neck for strumming :)meme378

mine does the same but i find the touch sensitive neck easier and more fun anyway, makes it easier to do the neck slidey notes aswell anyway, which rock if i may say so.

i believe its because you need to have windows media centre or windows vista to see videos on ya 360 from your pc.

i know when i had xp i couldnt see videos either but i havent actually checked to see if videos are showing with vista and wmc now though.

i am so looking forward to saints row 2.. ive pre ordered it, my copy is secured.

and yes it will be better than gta4.. that game was utter crap.. san andreas was absolutely amazing,, and they follow it up with tripe. nothing to do in that game.

infact i prefer the first saints row to gta4 anyday

Tbh I even ended up playing SR1 more than GTA:SA in the end because of the activities and the general replayability

Don't get me wrong, GTA:SA was amazing - it just ran out of things to do sometimes imo.

GTA4 however was a massive let down as far as sandbox gameplay was concerned - which, to me. is one of the most important aspects of games like GTA.

Yeah you update it through your account settings. It's on the same part that lets you change your gamer pic and motto etc. I had to do it earlier this year.

Yeah the CPU is the only thing that bothered me but since I'm not looking for it to play top spec games I am not too bothered. Anyway my old PC used to have a single core 1.3GHz so its still better than that and I put up with that old thing until January this year. For higher spec games I'll just stick with my normal PC.

I reckon that I'll go for that ACER unless a better option comes along by the time my student finance kicks in (22nd September :D).

Well I had found the Dell Inspiron 1720 with Geforce 8600 graphics card (256MB) for £399 but it's stop being sold at Currys or PC World and I don't know where else to look.

I'm off to uni this year and I'm basically looking for a laptop for around £400 that will be able to play some reasonably decent games.

I'm not asking for Crysis HQ performance.. more along the lines of NWN2 and Guild Wars or C&C:TW. Is it possible to find a laptop that could run these games for around £400?

If so any recommendations or any laptops to avoid. Also I'm looking for laptops with dedicated cards like ATi or GeForce but is there anything wrong with a laptop with integrated graphics or will they never be able to run those games?

Also I'm from the UK so no US laptops because I'd want to avoid importing them.
