@cthumann No, you CERTAINLY don´t speak for 95% of gamers out there. People who dont care about stories in games should stick to multiplayer games.

@RedReckoning thats like saying Gears of War 3 is not original because it follows the same formula of the original Gears of Wars, which basically invented the cover system in games. Well, Max Payne 3 follows the same formula of the original Max Payne, a game from the end of the 90s which basically invented slow motion in games.

Chris Watters bet of Rio de Janeiro is cool, but I dont think that will be it. As a brazilian (not from Rio, 1000 miles south of it actually), I would love to see City of God/Elite Squad Rio at a car/shooting game. Rio´s scenery is awesome, and it would be great to see it in a car game because of all the bridges and tunnels in the city. HOWEVER... 1 - I sincerely doubt Rockstar would make a bet on two games set in Brazil, one after the other (Max Payne 3 and GTA 5), despite the fact Rio and São Paulo are wildly different (they dont look so different in the weirdly very sunny screenshots of Max Payne 3 in Sao Paulo, even though Sao Paulo is usually cloudy and is known as "drizzle city") 2 - GTA series is very much about american pop culture. I think a GTA outside of the US (at least a modern version, because if I am not mistaken, there was a top down old GTA set in London) would be much weirder than Max Payne in Brazil. Payne is about noir style. You can have noir anywhere, not only in NY (in fact, the noir mecca is sunny Los Angeles, not NY!). But you cant have american pop culture in Brazil. What foreigner would understand the comical/ironic references to brazilian culture in Rio??? None.
