The real fact here, is that both Microsoft and Sony are greedy in their own ways, and it reflects in how they do things. They are businesses who want to make money and tie users to their service. They give a little here and then take a little there, in their own ways.
For an example is how Microsoft makes it so you have to be online to play Gold games, but Sony doesn't make you do this for Plus Games. On the other hand, Microsoft offers backward compatible games which you own, and that CAN play offline.. but for Sony, for Playstation now, you have to have a monthly subscription for it to work. With both you win something and lose something.
I love my Xbox One X, but to-date, there isn't one Gold game I find necessary, nor was excited about. Same for my PS4 Pro. Users shouldn't wine about games that are "offered free" to them. If you want a game, buy it. then it's yours. Better yet.. buy a physical copy of it.
Cross play would be great just so all of us.. regardless of platform can play games together. There shouldn't be any walled gardens at this point. It's the same as console exclusives.. the whole idea is stupid in my opinion. Cross play is good for gamers and doesn't need to even be about game sales. It can be about flexibility.. it's just another option. Hopefully cross play gains some traction. Nintendo has done it.. Microsoft has done it.. how many Minecraft users does Microsoft have? Do THEY need to share Minecraft at all? Probably not, but they are. It's an option that's good for gamers and it's as simple as that. People can make it about whatever they want to make it about, but overall it would be a great option to have.
only go so far on ps4, but picked this up on Xbox with the idea that this is where I would really play it. Loaded it up last night, and wow night and day difference. great job guys!
Good E3 overall. Microsoft has brought some Japanese games over to the console which will be good for attracting those who like those games. Good showing of games overall I feel. They didn't talk about some games and I think it's because they simply didn't have time. They showed Ashen in game pass, which tells me it's still coming. I've been looking forward to that game. I'm sure there's others coming too. I don't really care about Crackdown 3. I never played the first two. Super hype for Halo and Forza Horizon. Where's the next Forza Motorsport? I would have loved to see that too. There are some notable games absent. Gears 5 looks great and should be awesome. Happy that Neir Automata is coming out. I have the PS4 Pro, but never picked it up. Now that it's on X with HDR and 4K? that's a def. purchase and the best way to play that game. Good E3 overall. Sony has a few notable games coming out.. Death Stranding.. although intriguing is too confusing to know if it's going to be any good or not.. Last of Us 2 looked intense. Spider-man is about the only game I was really excited for. Ghost of Tsushima looked really good.. but reminded me of Nioh and made me want to play Nioh. Oh also.. From Software's: Sekiro: Shadow's Die Twice looks absolutely amazing, and that's for both Xbox and PS4. Good E3 overall.
this is great. I have been waiting for the Table Tennis game.. there's no other game like it! I beat it back in the day, and I'm thrilled it will be available on One X finally!!!!
@DeadPhoenix86: you do realize that Microsoft owns Windows right? That these games are running on? Microsoft is giving users a choice. They own Windows. They own Xbox. They’re still getting money when their exclusive sells. It’s about choice. Want to play that game on the couch? Get an Xbox. On a Windows PC? Get it there. They don’t care. They did this on purpose. It’s a “microsoft” exclusive. Think about it.
I just want to see this patch released already. Enough reporting on it. Let's get all the halo games in 4K! Can't wait. I never played these games through the MCC online that much.. just was going through the campaigns. I have to get back to that, but because of that, I wasn't affected by many of the bugs reported. I loved the idea of MCC when it first arrived and really see it as being a real asset to the Xbox. Halo is still relevant and still a very good exclusive for Microsoft. It would be nice for Bungie to come back, but I like all the Halo games regardless for what they are. Please release this patch, or let us know the date of release!
@pcps4xb: I didn't say they did. What I'm addressing is the fact that the PS4 Pro came out a year before the Xbox One X did, but only now is Sony adding in supersampling support.. this obviously is in direct response to the Xbox One X. If Sony had it when it launched the Xbox One X I'd never say that. But it's clear that they are. My post however.. is actually addressing the fact that they BOTH copy off of each other.. that's what's hilarious.
