Don't worry, I was gaming back in the 80's too, owned the Genesis, the SNES, and even ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64 and Amiga 500. And I know all the good games on all systems by heart. And I've played hundreds of games on the PC, 'cause I just enjoy playing them all my life. But nowadays I use my laptop for work, my rig at home for downloading and for an occasional game or two, but most of the time I just play on my X. And yes I know how to build an inexpensive rig, I just made a comment on the guy who spent 4000 bucks on it. As for the "games for men", I do my managing at work, so I don't need fifa manager or whatever, and as for The Witcher, that's just Oblivion made easy for all the little adventurers in you, who find it too difficult playing a real RPG.. ;-) Of course it's more fun to play strategy games on the PC, and I still do that (although it's not even that hard with a xbox controller), but the point of this whole debate was that there are very good games on the consoles, games that are not that "childish". In the end, all games are childish, just ask your girlfriends or wifes (if you have one that is) what they think about gaming and manhood, hahahaha...
@niborth23 You really don't know what you're talking about, now do you? :-) Tell me, which games exactly are the "games for men"? WoW maybe? Except that about 90% of the online players playing that game are kids younger than 12, beating your ass every day hahaha. Now seriously, you can't be talking about the good old games like Baldur's Gate, Fallout 1 & 2, Homeworld etc.. and other PC exclusives, 'cause those are all old games, and no one will be making conversions of those games for consoles. But nowadays you have no more quality exclusives for the PC... I've been playing games on the PC since before i could walk hehe, and enjoyed it very much! But since I bought an Xbox360 i'm enjoying it even more! If you look at the top games on the PC on Gamespot or the highest rated games, the majority of those games are on the consoles too. And they look and play and feel much better on the X. And i would never waste 4000$ on a PC just to play those games with such joy as i do on the X, i rather bought myself a car. And you seriously can't say that Oblivion, Fallout 3, Forza, Mass Effect, CoD 4, Graw, Rainbow Six and the like are games for kids. Of course, every console has crapy arcade games where you collect cold coins, and jump on mushrooms and beat the level bosses in rock, paper, scissors (lol) and stuff like that, but hey, so does the PC. Nowadays, the PC is becoming more and more just a development platform for console games, with just a handful of exclusives worth playing... Cheers
I've read some reviews on a couple of other websites that are more HW-testing oriented, and all of them showed the HD4870 X2 as the clear winner and the new 3D king... you don't know what to think anymore and who to trust... sad so sad...
