theres no way youre going to stop pirates, so stop wasting cash trying, and make the games cheaper with the money you save. pirating is not negative if you made a good game, album, etc.. it allows people to play your game, and they spread word of mouth about the good game and sales will increase, and even some of the pirates will go buy your game. it not like the pirates would have bought all those games if they couldnt pirate them, they would have bought nothing, or one or 2 games. pirating allows new artists and ips to gain recognition in a market that was previously dominated by large companies and established franchises. instead of having $$ for 1 cd and having to choose between a new artist and an old favorite, a pirate will just get them both and spread the word if the new artist is good, where before the new artist would have went by the wayside, as most people wouldnt want to gamble with their money on a new artist.

@MrBrightside14: i agree with you in the purpose of the article, but it failed horribly. they did not demo any games that show off the iphones true gaming capabilities. these games could be played on almost any cell phone from the last 5 years, most people think all iphone games are dinky little minigames, glorified graphics tetris and sodoku. even the employees at my local ebgames had no idea that you could play games as advanced for a phone as brothers in arms, or the like. articles like this one only further the misconception that iphone games are a joke.

this article makes iphone gaming seem like a joke. why would you feature such lame games? i think that the demographic of this website is more interested in finding out about metal gear solid touch, x-plane, and brothers in arms on the iphone, not some crap game that any cell phone from the last 10 years can play. for those of you who dont know, the iphone is becoming a serious gaming platform. yes most of the games launched to date are dinky, but real game developers are hopping on iphone like mad, and the iphone has all the hardware needed to compete with current handhelds. it will not be long now before you start to see full games on the iphone like those you would see on the psp or ds. i have a ds lite, psp slim, and an iphone. the psp and ds have thier advantages, but just gather dust now that i have the iphone. i used to have to carry, an ipod, a cell phone, my ds and/or psp wherever i went, as well as games, and accessories i might need. Lucidmike78 said it best, "the best system is the one you have with you" and thanks to my iphone i always have everything i need/want in one device in my pocket. the next time youre waiting at the doctors, or wherever, wishing you had brought your psp or ds, remember, my iphone is always in my pocket, waiting to play games, music, email, surf the net or anything else i desire. having an ipod touch is not the same as it lacks several hardware features of the iphone 3g, and you still have to carry your phone and your ipod, so you dont get the same feeling of 1 device to do it all that i cherish with the iphone. owning an ipod touch does not give you any idea of what it is to have an iphone. if i just had a touch, it would probably be gathering dust next to my psp and ds.

uh, i suggested months ago that gamespot cover iphone games and got blasted on the forums. why did you choose these games? it makes the iphone look lame. why wouldnt you show off x-plane, metal gear touch, or brothers in arms, many people dont know that the iphone is capable of more than these little dinky games you featured.

sweet gaming pcs dont cost much at all, through the miracle of overclocking. research your parts, get more than what you paid for.

in my old apt, we had ps3 and 360 hooked up to hdtvs via the appropriate cables. the 360 was hooked up to a newer and better tv. we played cod4 constantly on the tvs side by side, and i found the ps3 on the inferior tv looked better. as well the ps3 was notably darker than the 360 as well, as these pictures show.

believe it or not, there was a time in my life where my friend had gotten a snes as soon as it came out for like 250$. he had a bunch of his friends over and we were awed at the graphics compared to nes. we played for hours and had tons of fun. mario kart and final fantasy 3 ruled our lives for years. my point is we had endless hours of fun playing games with graphics supremely inferior to games of today, but we had fun. no matter how much anti-ailiasing you have its not going to make the game more fun.

there is no reason your gaming pc should cost thousands. custom build it. just buy a good motherboard a cheap 64 bit dual core, a cheap dx10 capable video card and some cheap ram. now you have a decent rig that will let you play games on average settings for low cost. then as you get the cash drop a hundred or so on upgrading parts one at a time, look for sales. soon you will have a gaming beast. as well, when done you are only 1 or 2 parts away from having a second computer, or sell the parts to help fund your next upgrade. you may want to wait until the price of socket 1333 drops, and its seen if there are any bugs before you decide what to buy.
